It’s the start of the Easter holidays here for us in the West Midlands and although our children are not in school right now, we’re having a break from the school work and taking the next couple of weeks off. My husband is also on annual leave for the next couple of weeks too so I’m enjoying having him home and being able to help out with the boys. With everyone at home, it’s really important to plan out our meals so we have enough in and we have ideas on what we can eat.

FREE family Meal Planner printable
This week we have planned all our meals. Some days are subject to change but the meals are planned and all the ingredients are in the cupboard / fridge ready for cooking and eating. My husband went to the local farm shop at the weekend to get our fruit and vegetables. Our local supermarket stocks weren’t very fresh and didn’t last very long last week so to support local smaller businesses we shopped at the farm shop and the butchers.
What’s on the meal plan this week
- Steak, Actifry Chips, Peas and Mushrooms (My husbands birthday treat from M&S)
- Slow cooker beef stew
- Chicken and bacon risotto
- Spaghetti bolognese
- All Day Breakfast
- Chicken Curry – possibly Mayflower
- Roast Chicken with mash and roasted vegetables

Introducing my new Family Meal Plan printable
I decided to design a family meal plan printable to help the whole house whilst we’re on lockdown. My boys, especially Olly, likes to know what’s happening, he doesn’t respond well to change so instead of him checking his school lunches everyday, we’ve made a list of lunches too and he can check the planner every day to see what’s on the menu.
I’m delighted to share the free family meal planner with you and it’s available to download here if you’d like to write out your meal plans too!

It’s available in 4 different colours (Teal, Pink, Blue and Yellow) so pick your favourite colour, print and plan away!

I’m linking up with Katy Kicker’s Meal Plan Linky where you can find lots of other bloggers meal plans and inspiration for your meals.
