What a bizarre few weeks! So our usual meal planning has hit a bit of a blip with the current pandemic. Whilst we are very much meal planning, we are planning what to eat from our current stocks. We have a cupboard full of bits and pieces, we have some fresh food in the fridge and bags of frozen food which need using up. We are absolutely not going to starve if we can’t get to the supermarket for a few weeks but we will need to adjust to what we eat.

Slimming World Week 11 Update

Unfortunately Slimming World is cancelled for the foreseeable so I haven’t been weighed. Our home scales have a dead battery which is probably a blessing in disguise. Due to the pandemic and our financial situation, I’m not following Slimming World religiously as some meals aren’t particularly low in syns (looking at you Toad in the Hole) but I will do my best!

I’m trying to be mindful with what I’m eating but I’m not rushing to the supermarket to buy more lettuce or salad bits as I don’t want to make unnecessary trips. Money is going to be quite tight for a few months so I need to make a meal that will feed all of us where possible instead of making something separate for me and then something different for the boys. I am really keen not to gain any weight though, so I need to be careful over the next few weeks.

I’m linking up with Katy Kicker’s Meal Plan Linky where you can find lots of other bloggers meal plans and inspiration for your meals.

  1. We have plenty in too so there’s no fear of us starving but I am guessing in a few weeks I will be dying to do the shopping!
Great meal plan! I love the sound of the fakeaway!

  2. I am trying desperately to find meal planning inspiration on lockdown as like many our budget is tighter but we have more meals to prep with kids at home. Shelves are often bare at the supermarket and I am feeling very uninspired! I didn’t know about the linky so will check out ideas there too…right now I have a toad in the hole craving! Stay well and safe x
