Staying fit is crucial for some parents as they want to be able to keep up with their children as they grow up and make sure they can impact their lives in a good way by setting an example of living a healthy lifestyle. So when getting fit and healthy this doesn’t only impact you but those around you too to make sure they learn the best things in life.
It’s easy to think about or plan to get fit while you have a family but when it comes to doing it then it can become very troublesome. So here are some tips to help you get fit while also having a family and make sure you can keep up with your kids and set a good example for them as they grow up.

Get active with your family
The best way to get fit and lose weight is to get you and your family active then you are still involved with family time but also getting you and your family active and keeping you and them fit and healthy. You can do this easily by getting them outdoors to play and engaging them with hobbies they enjoy like football or frisbee, anything that gets you and them moving will have a great impact on you and them. It doesn’t have to be for long just making sure you get the blood pumping for around 20-25 minutes will help to keep fit.
Set time for yourself
If you can set some time away for yourself whether this is booking with a personal trainer or just working out at home if you can try and take time to yourself this is great for mental health and your fitness too. If you are unsure about personal trainers then there are plenty of personal trainer tips available online. Allowing time for yourself will give you the best chance at fitness as you have full control over what you do and how long you have instead of trying to fit it in or do it with your family in tow.
Walk more
A great way to get fit without having to do anything too vigorous is walking, a lot of people undervalue walking this is something that can help, if you can walk to work or walk the kids to school this will help you increase your active time which will help with fitness and burning calories, which is a great way to start building up fitness especially if you are starting from scratch and have poor fitness already, then you can build it up to running when it no longer has an impact.
Getting fit with a family doesn’t need to be hard but some people find it hard to get to grips with or do, so hopefully, these tips will help you find the time or allow you to get your fitness where you want while still having your family time.
