The Week That Was Instagrammed #5

I’m late to link up this week as it’s just been such a busy week but can’t wait to show you some pics of what has been such a fabulous week!

Today we spent the day at home resting after a fab few days in London. Little Mr also turned 24 weeks old.

Today we went to Bescot Stadium to see the Walsall Football Club players train at an open training session, Little Mr was less than impressed and caught up on his sleep but woke up in time to meet Walsall’s manager Dean Smith. In the afternoon we went over to my Parents house as it was my Moms birthday. We gave her presents and enjoyed a yummy Chinese.

Today my nephew came over to play so after a lazy morning playing with trains and other toys we went swimming. Little Mr loved having his cousin in the pool with him and my nephew K enjoyed swimming and splashing about.

Today we spent the day at home getting ready for the next few days away. I went and got my eyebrows threaded and tried (and failed) to get my nails done for the wedding. Who knew you had to book to get your nails done? Not me!

Little Mr wore a new pair of dungarees handmade by my friend Fauvette of Matilda Wears. He looked incredibly cute so can highly recommend the new boutique.

We travelled down South to Windsor today for my friend Becky’s wedding tomorrow. We had to take a detour off the motorway as there was an accident but it took us through Henley on Thames. Wow, what a gorgeous town! There’s some absolutely beautiful homes down there. We got settled into our hotel room and it was boiling! We had a lovely view from our hotel room over looking Windsor town and castle.

Hubby looked after Little Mr whilst I went and shared a few bubbles with the Bride-to-be before heading back to the hotel room for what was an awful nights sleep with a hot and teething baby!

We discovered that Little Mr had cut his first tooth overnight which may have explained why he screamed in his sleep. Although I was tired, today was the wedding of the year; the Clarke Wedding. My gorgeous friend Becky got married at Windsor Guildhall and it was absolutely perfect. Becky looked radiant and beautiful and I’ll be blogging all about it in the week to show off all our photos. I was incredibly honoured to be asked to be her bridesmaid and to be one of her witnesses so signed the register in front of all her family and friends.

After a fabulous boat trip up the Thames we arrived at the wedding reception venue and had a beautiful meal. I got emotional (again!) and cried my eyes out at the end when we had to leave. I can’t really blame the Pimms either but I did decide I liked the tipple again!

After a better nights sleep from Little Mr (we shared the single bed under the open window) we went for a walk into Windsor for breakfast and to purchase a couple of gifts and postcards. I found this joke dummy in a gift shop and bought it for a giggle! I had discovered the night before that I had awful sunburn so set off to get some Aloe Vera After Sun and a bottle of water. We travelled home and enjoyed the comfort of being in our own home in the afternoon whilst hubby went to the first Walsall home game of the new 13/14 season.

We’re linking up with Make, Do and Push – The Week That Was Instagrammed #5 so don’t you head on over and have a look at what else everyone has been up too!
