It’s been a quieter week in the Team Shilts household as we came home from Majorca with more than we bargained for; both Little Mr and I have had really snotty colds and even today they’re still lingering on.
Here’s what we have been up to this week via my Instagram feed..
Sunday 22nd September
After a lazy morning at home catching up on the ever growing pile of washing we went over to my Mom and Dads house for Sunday dinner and a catch up to tell them all about our trip abroad. Little Mr was also 32 weeks old and of course, I took the weekly photo.

Day at home today just catching up on TV, more washing and tending to the streaming nose of Little Mr who is getting more mobile by the day.

Blogged: Review – Thomson Family Resort, Protur Aparthotel Bonaire and Little Mr’s first…plane journey
We went into Birmingham and met a lovely friend I’ve got to know through blogging, ClearlyBex and her daughter L. We went into SeaLife where we had been invited by Poppycat to have a look at all the fish, the sharks, the starfish, otters and the massive turtle on display. Little Mr loved the walk through underwater tunnel and I really enjoyed it too. I finally finished off my review of the Thomson Family Resort where we stayed last week in Majorca.

Blogged: Competition – Win 2 tickets to The Baby Show at Olympia
Another day at home suffering with the onslaught of a sore throat and bunged up nose. Little Mr was all out of sorts today as he was suffering too. He wouldn’t eat anything so all my home cooked puree’s and mash went to waste as he just played with it on his highchair. I was quite relieved when hubby came home and I burst into tears as I’d just had enough of feeling rubbish as well as looking after a poorly baby.

Blogged: Taking on the Cook Once Eat Twice Challenge
We had to miss our swimming lesson today as Little Mr was still feeling under the weather. He had the biggest nap for quite some time sleeping from 12:45pm until 3pm. I managed to wash my hair, have a hot lunch and get some tidying up done. Bonus!

Blogged: Leaving Little Mr
Little Mr had a play date with his Nanny and Grandad today so after dropping him off, I went to my local Boots store where they were holding a Macmillan Coffee morning. After a cup of coffee and a butterfly cake (all in the name of charity of course!), I had a spot of retail therapy in Mamas and Papas buying Little Mr a Halloween onesie and some bits for Christmas.
Back home, I blitzed the house and it felt good being able to have a real good tidy up knowing that Little Mr was being well looked after so I didn’t have to stop half way through. I also got round to putting Little Mr’s new ride in the car. We’ve been sent the new Dualfix car seat from Britax to review and so far we’re loving it.

Blogged: Inspired (again) by the Bake Off
We drive down to Cambridge for our weekend away (courtesy of Travelodge) and had a lovely wander around the city with Little Mr in the new and exclusive Koochi sneaker. It’s a gorgeous city with some beautiful old buildings and brilliant shops. We bought Little Mr a new lunch bag from Cath Kidston and hubby bought a new t-shirt. We tried to find somewhere suitable to eat some dinner with a sleepy baby in tow but all we could find was student filled pubs and take-aways so we ended up back at the Travelodge and ate in their bar. We were granted an early night due to us being in the same room as Little Mr which we were all grateful for.
So there was our week, not so busy as previous weeks but enough to keep us out of trouble!

We had a house of snot too this week! I hope your Little Mr is feeling better now :) Cambridge is gorgeous! Not great on a Saturday night though as all the locals go out and it’s rather rowdy!
Thank you so much for linking up again :) xx
