Last weekend we headed into London for the Muller Anniversary Games at the London Stadium in Stratford. To make the most of our time in the city we wanted to stay overnight and we found a gem of a place to stay. Roomzzz Stratford is a brand new Aparthotel in the city, only opening at the beginning of July so we were amongst some of the first to stay and I couldn’t wait to see how an apartment would work for us as a family.

Roomzzz in Stratford is an aparthotel; a hotel made up of many apartments all with their own kitchens and private bathrooms plus a 24 hour reception team if there are any concerns. We’ve never stayed in an aparthotel before so we were all really looking forward to it.

On arrival, we parked our car in the underground car park (spaces subject to availability and additional charge) and made our way up to reception. Check in was swift and we were soon heading up to our apartment. We were given the Liberty 3 bedroom apartment and it was incredible, it was huge!

There were 3 good size bedrooms; all with super bouncy king size beds, stylish interiors and modern decor. The larger bedroom had an ensuite with a bath and a rain shower as well as a family bathroom also with a bath and rain shower. All the beds had electrical sockets near the bed with USB sockets too. Ideal for those of us who keep their smartphones by the side of the bed. White fluffy towels were included as well as luxurious The White Company toiletries. I didn’t want to leave! They also provided a travel cot for Freddie which was immaculate and much appreciated.

Roomzzz dining area & lounge
The apartment had a lounge / dining area with a table and chairs as well as a sofa and a couple of arm chairs. It was brilliant to have an extra space where we could chill out as a family instead of us all piling onto the bed in a hotel room.

Luxury studio kitchen
The kitchen was fantastic and would be so convenient if you wanted to stay in London for more than a couple of nights and cook yourself and the family some food. There was a fridge freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, washing machine and microwave. As well as all the cutlery and crockery plus kitchen utensils you’d need to stay away home from home.

The apartment also had a balcony with a table and chairs and it was great to go out late at night and get some fresh air and listen to the sounds of the city. I loved to watch the lights in the distance, it looked really pretty.
So much living space
The apartment was a fantastic living space for our family. It was really spacious and brilliant for Olly to play with his many cars and for Freddie to roll about without worrying that he was going to bang into something. We could all go to the bathroom in peace without disturbing someone else and we could have all watched a different television if we had wanted to.

Not only did we have all the space to relax in our apartment but downstairs there was a lounge area, fitness studio and coffee shop. They’re also introducing desks in the work hub so you’ll be able to work and grab a coffee. What I would give to work in such an area on a daily basis? It looked fantastic! There’s also a well stocked grocery store with fresh ingredients, fresh bread and milk should you want to grab something to make in your own apartment. Such a good idea!
Complimentary Grab & Go Breakfast
For guests staying with Roomzzz, there’s a complimentary hot drinks machine which serves a range of coffees, hot chocolate and tea and every morning (between 6:30-10:30am), guests are welcome to help themselves to a ‘Grab and Go’ complimentary light breakfast. Items included croissants, muffins, fruit and yogurts as well as orange juice and hot drinks. This was especially welcome as we didn’t plan ahead and bring any breakfast bits with us.

Roomzzz was a fantastic place to stay whilst we were in the city. It was conveniently located within walking distance to the transport links at Stratford International as well as perfectly located for the events at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park or a spot of retail therapy at Westfield.
We had a wonderful stay with Roomzzz Stratford, we all slept really well, it was a comfortable space and we really did feel like we were at home (away from home). I’d highly recommend staying with Roomzzz. You’ll have a really comfortable stay, in a stylish apartment and its just so convenient.
You can find out more about Roomzzz and book your next stay at www.roomzzz.com – there’s 25% off selected stays between 20th July and 9th September.
Disclosure: We were invited to stay at Roomzzz on a complimentary basis in exchange for this review. All words and images are my own.

Wow, this looks perfect! I wish we’d stayed before the event now, getting there on the morning was a nightmare. The apartments look amazing for a family, so much better than just sharing one hotel room. I love the fact they do the breakfast as well.

We couldn’t get over how much space we had! It was bigger than our home!
