Living in a two bedroom terrace, it was always inevitable that our master bedroom would be often used by the whole family. We have a fairly decent sized bedroom which is large enough to accommodate our king size bed, a set of wardrobes for us both, a chest of drawers each plus bedside tables. So when we had to accommodate our youngest child’s crib, we had to make some adjustments. Two years later, we are finally reclaiming back our bedroom and with the help of prints from Desenio, we’re brightening it up and making it our own again.

We have been making do for a very long time in the state of our bedroom. We haven’t decorated for at least ten years and we are in desperate need for a new carpet. Over the last three years we’ve had various pieces of furniture in our bedroom, but finally after what seems like forever, we no longer have any of our children’s bedroom furniture in our bedroom. This has resulted in us being able to reclaim furniture from the loft and space out our belongings in our room.

Enhance the space

In the current climate, we can’t afford to redecorate our bedroom. However, one of the ways we’ve been able to change up the vibe in the room and reclaim it for ourselves is with the use of accessories and art. Working with Desenio, I have chosen some poster prints for our bedroom to enhance the relaxed and comfortable environment.

Loving the colours

These prints I chose from Desenio are all similar colours; we love pinks, purples and peach tones so these prints are ideal for our room. Initially, I chose these prints as they’re all very similar tones and they match the existing feature wall colour in our bedroom and go well with the curtains and most of our bedding.

Secondly, the prints themselves are beautiful to look at. If we were able to live anywhere in the world it would be with one with these amazing views; the beach or the countryside. They’re just so relaxing to look at. They evoke a sense of freedom and calm which is what we all need in our haven.

Whilst they don’t all belong in the same collection, I love how well they go together. I think they look brilliant and they have already transformed the room. I chose A4 prints with light wooden frames and they’re perfect for our room. I finally feel we’re reclaiming back our bedroom and our own little oasis of calm.
