It’s another routine week in the Shilton household this week. We don’t have any additional plans after school or work so we can crack on and have a good week meal plan wise hopefully.

Last week, I struggled with my evening meals. I went to my friend Emma’s book launch (check it out here) and didn’t get home until 9:30pm. We didn’t have any food in for me to eat so I quickly stopped off at The Food Warehouse near us for a frozen Slimming World meal. It meant I was still on plan but I didn’t eat until late. On Friday, Shilts went out with colleagues for their birthday and I ended up with a bacon sandwich for my dinner as I didn’t have time to make anything else. I need to batch cook some meals for the fridge and freezer for times of need!

Meal plan this week

Our evening meals will be one of the following dishes;

Breakfasts for me this week will mainly consist of overnight oats and fruit, weetabix with fruit or yoghurt and fruit. I don’t have much time in the morning to make big meals, I need something quick and easy to make up and eat before the school run.

Lunches will either be ham and egg salads, homemade soups (I have leek and potato ingredients in for this week) and omelettes. Although my omelettes are awful and always resemble scrambled eggs!

Slimming World Week 9 Update

I was delighted with a 1.5lb loss this week. I think I struggled last week with not eating my evening meals at a sensible time and I need to drink more water. I find it really tricky to drink water when I’m out and about. I just don’t get the time to do it.

I had a bit of a wobble yesterday, I’m really tired from the late nights and early mornings (thanks to my 2 year old) and I didn’t eat a big enough breakfast. I only had a yoghurt without fruit (we had run out) so it wasn’t enough to keep me full until lunchtime so I picked at the biscuits when the boys had one. It’s silly and I’ve given my head a wobble this morning and I’m on plan again today. I’m just hoping I can ignore the sweet cravings and have fruit instead. Stay strong Emma!

  1. Well done on sticking with SW even when you’ve been so busy! Good luck with the meal plan this week :)

    I love the sound of the burger in a bowl, I’m dairy free at the minute but I think I could tweak it to work still :)
