Our little baby boy has turned two. I have no idea where the last two years have gone but this weekend we celebrated Freddie’s second birthday. We celebrated with a Mummy and Son trip out to the farm and we had a fantastic day together. This weekend, we had a tea party for him with chocolate cake and Peppa Pig cupcakes. What else could a two year old want?
Life with a toddler is busy. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t keep still until it’s nap time or bedtime, constantly on his feet into everything. But we wouldn’t change him for the world, we adore him. He growing into a very cheeky little boy who is head strong and rather independent. He knows what he wants and has a very stubborn streak, something he got from his Mummy.

So much fun to be around
As a toddler, Freddie is fun to be around. He loves dancing to music with his big brother and usually has a big grin on his face. He loves making a noise and loves instruments and improvising! Freddie also loves books and always has a bedtime story before bed. His current favourites are Thomas the Tank and Peppa Pig.
I’m sure many parents can relate but when it comes to food it’s always hit and miss. One day he will eat loads. He loves fruit, vegetables and all the naughty stuff we try and limit for him. He is a huge fruit fan and will eat melon, blueberries, strawberries, apples, bananas and oranges. In the morning he will steal my breakfast despite having exactly the same in his own bowl.
Freddie loves his sleep and thankfully he is in a good routine of napping throughout the day and sleeping through the night. He shares a bedroom with his big brother, which he loves. He’ll be moving to a bunk bed at some point this year but I’m not ready for disturbed nights sleep just yet.

Best stage of his early years
I adore this stage of life he’s in. He’s such an inquisitive two year old, wanting to see things for himself and learn more. His speech is improving every day and he’s trying to speak new words all the time. At the farm this week, he learnt how to say chick and rabbit. It was so cute to hear. He’s like a sponge wanting to soak everything up. We have to be very careful about the language we use around him as of course, he will copy it. I love the little conversations we have. We talk about everything and anything.
I cannot wait to see what the year brings for Freddie. Happy 2nd Birthday little man, how are you two? We love you to the moon and back!
