The Week That Was Instagrammed #10

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been able to link up this weeks The Week That Was Instagrammed but I’m back and this is what I’ve been up to over the last week in photograph form.

Sunday 1st September

Blog: Preparing for travelling abroad with a baby

I invited my sister and her family round for a birthday dinner along with my Mom and Dad. It was a lovely afternoon and hubby cooked a fabulous Gammon roast. Little Mr got his first tastes of mashed potato, enjoyed a strawberry and Aunty T fed Little Mr a spoonful of chocolate gateaux (much to my protest!)

Monday 2nd September

Hubby went back to work today after having the Summer holidays at home. The house was eerily quiet with just me, Little Mr and the dog. We went for a walk with the new Koochi Sneaker stroller that hubby and Little Mr have to review and it totally different to my Britax Affinity pushchair. Little Mr loved seeing his Daddy when he got home, they have such a lovely relationship, it’s great to watch them make each other laugh. Little Mr still hasn’t perfected the art of rolling back over so he finds himself on his tummy then gets upset.

Tuesday 3rd September

Busy day today for the Post Man at Shilton Towers. We had some packages delivered which will all be revealed on the blog soon. Little Mr enjoyed a rusk for breakfast and gave me minor hear failure when he started to gag on it. After a mad dash to drop Little Mr at Nanny’s I drove over to Nottingham to Hillarys Blinds where I was treated to a preview of their new collection Country Retreat. More details of the preview coming to the blog very soon. I also had a very exciting email to tell me that The Essential One had launched their AW2013 collection online and who better to feature on their marketing email, my gorgeous Little Mr. I am one MEGA proud Mummy!

Blog: Review – PaperShaker personalised cards and Having a weaning nightmare

Today we had a day of rest as I wasn’t feeling too well. Little Mr and I enjoyed a day in front of the TV and enjoying each others company.

Thursday 5th September

It was back to Little Mr’s swimming lessons today so we had to skip our second sleep and head to the pool. It was a great first lesson back although Little Mr wasn’t too keen on being dunked again. He needs to learn to shut his mouth when in the water and not drink it! After a good catch up with friends, we had errands to run and we spent the afternoon out and about. Little Mr wasn’t too impressed that I kept waking him up to pop in and out of the shops so was mega grumpy today. When we got home, The Essential One catalogue was on the doorstep and I was in love. Little Mr looks adorable as does all the other babies we met that day and the new collection of clothes is gorgeous. My new design business cards arrived and I’m really impressed. Oh, and Little Mr has decided he has tasty toes…Eugh!

Friday 6th September

Today Little Mr and I drove up to Stafford to meet our friend Norma for lunch. It was great to see her and have a good catch up. Little Mr decided to have a meltdown in the restaurant as he didn’t like the high chair which was unusual.

Saturday 7th September

Blog: The Asda Baby Event Fit for a Prince and Helping Children get water confident in the pool

Today we enjoyed a day at home getting more jobs done. As Little Mr is getting more and more wriggly at night time it was time to lower his cot bed. I also sorted through all his clothes in size 6-9 months and made a short shopping list. He needs a coat, some trousers, some more pyjamas and as it’s getting a lot colder now, some jumpers to keep him warm. I can’t believe how quickly he’s growing up. My baby is definitely not a baby anymore, sob sob! After some brilliant support from my friends and twitter buddies, I persevered with the weaning and gave Little Mr some Organix carrot sticks. He absolutely loved them and is actually really good at chomping them down. I’m trying to relax a bit more so Little Mr doesn’t suffer in any way.

I love the idea of Instagramming the week (have I just invented a new verb?!) Anyway, am with you on the stress of weaning and having heart failure when your children gag on food-both of mine have done this and it scared me. I still have a thing about apple even today!

    What a busy week!
The gag reflex is incredible isn’t it. It terrified me with my first but I learned to trust it more with my second!

What a busy week. Hope you got lots of advice re weaning. I spent yesterday sorting out old clothes and clothes that don’t fit. They grow so fast *sobs* x

What a lovely busy week you have had. The gagging reflux always scares me and I think it always will.
