Review: PaperShaker personalised cards

I was recently invited to review a brand new website, PaperShaker, from the people who bought us Photobox. PaperShaker specialises in personalised invitations, thank you cards and baby announcements that you can tailor to suit your individual needs with text and your own photographs making them truly unique.

After having a good look through the website, which is really simple to use, I decided to try two sets of cards; one set of thank you cards that Little Mr could send out to family and friends for gifts he’s received recently and one set of RSVP cards for some wedding invitations that we have been sent for the forthcoming year.

I chose the Sunny Special Days RSVP template for my first set of cards. I wanted to design a set of RSVP cards to use for a number of weddings that we are hoping to be invited to in the next year. I’m useless at keeping the right cards in for the right occasion so these will be really useful.

On one side of the card, which is made from Ensocoat 300gsm quality card with a varnished finish, I chose to use the original design but changed the font for the wording. On the back, I personalised the card with a couple of pre-designed graphics and some wording. You can change the font, size and colour of the wording so they really are as personal as you’d like them.

For the second set of cards, I wanted to design some Baby Thank You cards. After Little Mr was born, we received a huge amount of cards and gifts and although we did send Thank You notes with a photo included of our newborn, it would have been lovely to have sent a card and photo in one just like these. I chose the First Impressions template as I like how friends and family could the card as a bookmark as a keepsake. I uploaded a couple of photographs, played around with the font, size and colour of the text and removed a graphic so I had more space to put some text and I think they look brilliant. The thank you cards are printed onto the same quality paper and each card comes complete with their own envelopes.

You can order as many cards as you like and what is rewarding is if you order in bulk, the price per card comes down making it quite cost effective for you to order cards in one go. The website tells you the price of your order (cards plus an envelope each) and for the quality of the cards these are excellent value.

I really love these cards. On arrival, they look exactly as I had designed them on the website and they feel rather luxurious. A high quality product that family and friends would be sure to love and keep forever.

What’s more, PaperShaker are bringing out a new range of stationery soon too so keep your eyes peeled for more fabulous designs and those must have notelets and cards. There’s no excuse now not to order those personalised thank you cards, baby announcements, party and wedding invitations, these are ideal and you won’t be disappointed.
