A Collaborative Post

As a parent, you know what it’s like to wake up early in the morning. The kids are always asking for breakfast, and they need to get ready for school. It can be hard to get everything done before the bus arrives! But as long as you have a good routine set-up, your mornings will go much smoother than if you don’t. This post will discuss how to create an effective morning routine that will leave both you and your kids feeling energised and prepared for the day ahead.

Keep Your Kids, Bags, Uniforms, and Shoes Ready the Night Before

Keep your kids, bags and uniforms ready the night before. You don’t want to be scrambling in the morning on a school day or when you have an appointment later in the day. Pack their shoes at bedtime, so they are just as easy to find first thing in the morning as their clothes.

Make their beds, set out their clothes for the next day, including underwear, socks, bag lunch if needed and shoes. You can also pack all of these things and their school supplies into backpacks that you leave by the front door, where it’s easy to grab on your way out every morning. This saves them from having to search around frantically while still half asleep looking.

Set Reasonable Expectation

The morning routine can be challenging with children, and it is essential to set a reasonable expectation for everyone. Children should be encouraged to make a bed because it is an easy way for them to help.

Allowing children time in the morning before school starts can also improve their behaviour and mood throughout the day, as they will have control over their schedule. Reasonable expectations should be set for kids so that everyone can get a good start to the day.

Remember to set reasonable expectations around what you have in the house. For example, if you have a new boiler, it’s not unreasonable to expect your kids to take warm and quick showers every day before breakfast.

Offer Encouragement

Offering encouragement can be as simple as telling your child how proud you are of them or reminding them that they can do it. “You’re doing great!” is an excellent phrase to offer when your children feel like giving up and just want to stop trying. But, it’s also important not to push too hard because this could lead the child into feeling overwhelmed with pressure instead of motivated by support. In order for these phrases to work, parents need to know what motivates their kids best, so they will get the most out of encouraging words!

When your kids are ready to leave the house in the morning, it’s important to remember what motivates your kids best so you can offer encouragement in the way they need it most.

Have a Family Meeting

This is an essential part of the morning routine. One person in your family should be responsible for calling a meeting every night to ensure that everyone has done their jobs from yesterday and what needs to happen tomorrow.

The other members will share any new ideas or thoughts they have about tasks or topics discussed during the day. This way, you are on top of all necessary information, so there are no surprises in the morning.

Keep Breakfast Simple

If you have a lot of time in the morning, breakfast might be your chance to make wholesome, healthy foods for your kids. But if mornings are hectic and frantic, keep it simple. Cereal is always an easy choice that fills up hungry stomachs quickly – just add some fresh fruit for extra flavour or crunch! Bran muffins with yoghurt also provide protein as well as complex carbs that will last all day.

If cereal isn’t enough on its own, throw in a healthy egg white scramble or oatmeal and berries for an even heartier meal! Breakfast doesn’t need to take long at all – and it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Making the morning routine work

The morning routine is an important part of the day. You have to teach your kids how to get ready for school in a timely and effective way. The most important thing you can do as a parent, though, is making sure they are getting enough sleep each night so that their mornings go smoother. In addition, teaching them about healthy food choices will ensure they have enough energy to get through their day. If you do not want your morning routine to be so difficult, follow these tips, and it will make the entire process easier on everyone in the family.
