A few months back I posted a comment on Rosie’s blog. She had been sent a brand spanking new HD TV from a very generous benefactor.. well never expecting anything back, as you do, I left a comment on how lovely that was and thought that was that. Imagine my surprise when I get an email from Appliances Online saying that they had read my comment and wanted to send me some Christmas chocolate. Of course, I was cheeky and asked for a new washing machine but not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, a girl never turns down chocolate does she? So of course, I replied immediately!
Guess what came over the weekend? My big box of Cadburys Magical Elves chocolate bars.. Well, I couldn’t eat them all myself (well I could, but its not going to help the diet is it?) so I took them all into work on Monday morning to spread a little Christmas cheer.
So, a big thank you to Appliances Online, you made several departments happier on Monday morning (including my lovely assistant Laura – pictured) and made a few colleagues re-live their youth with the hidden magical popping candy.

I would never look a gift horse in the mouth, and have occasionally received tea samples, Jam samples and cupcakes to try without obligation, all I may say were simply beautiful and well worth taking up some of my time.
My ‘Secret Tea Room’ uses all these and more but the one thing I am struggling to find is a decent hand mixer. I’ve used an expensive ones that lasted a few week (which I returned and got a refund) and a cheap one that lasted a year. I love my Kenwood Major Mixer but it’s too large for small quantities. So if any mixer company would like me to test out a new hand mixer please call me. I would be more than happy to oblige.
Blimey, I nearly posted on the same blog post you’re talking about!! Lucky old you I’d love a box of Magic elves!!! If some kind present giver out there could gift me anything it would certainly have to be a new set of pans, funky coloured one if I have a choice! Please, anyone??!!
Have you thought that perhaps the magical elves could have done the washing for you. But now they’ve been eaten :(
