Me and Mine August 2015

August has been a wonderful month for our family. At the beginning of the month, we spent a week on holiday in Weymouth enjoying the beach, exploring the stunning Dorset coastline and taking in the most wonderful views. Our first photograph to share with you was taken at the top of Portland overlooking Chesil Beach and Weymouth. It was an absolutely breathtaking view and we really did feel like we were on top of the world.

Our second photograph was from our camping trip to Lincolnshire taken just this weekend. We had a brilliant few nights away. We always love spending nights under canvas away from the hustle and bustle of life, TV and phone signal (believe it or not!) We saw the most amazing sunsets from our campsite and it was so nice to spend some time with my Sister and our Nephew, my Parents and my Grandparents.

I love this photograph of us all. After my Dad’s heart attack and subsequent heart surgery and my Grandad’s stroke last year, we didn’t think we’d be able to enjoy family weekends away like this so we’re so lucky that they’ve both worked so hard on their recoveries and we get to spend some quality time with them.

August has been such a lovely month, the weather has been very British (hit and miss) but we’ve made the best of it.

This month Mama has enjoyed:
– our family holiday in Weymouth and seeing Portland Bill (a majestic lighthouse on Portland)
– driving a digger at Diggerland
– being nominated as Woman of the Year at SW

Daddy has enjoyed:
– his summer holidays away from work
– our family holiday in Weymouth
– lazy days at home with Little Mr enjoying the rare sunshine

Little Mr has enjoyed:
– a day out at Peppa Pig World
– making sandcastles on the beach
– visiting Bristol Zoo and spotting Shaun in the City
