Since returning from our lovely holiday to Weymouth (which I still need to share with you) I faced the scales and the reality that I had put on 6.5lb over two weeks not entirely on plan. I was fine with that and got straight back on track with what I knew and to my delight this week I managed to lose two thirds of the gain (4.5lb)
I’m determined to get the elusive five stone award in the next few weeks. It’s now just 3.5lb away and I want it. I want to smash the award and then work on my 6 stone award. It seems like I’ve taken forever to lose weight this year, with the majority of my weight loss between August and December last year.
The break has been just what I needed; a chance to renew my focus and build up the willpower to crack on and lose some more weight. I’m still very over weight and despite a few (very lovely) people telling me I don’t look it, I know you’re just being kind. The numbers on the scales tell me every day that I’m not just overweight, I’m obese and although I’m very proud of how far I’ve come, I need to lose more.
This week in group was our Woman of the Year awards and we were asked to nominate someone in group who we felt was worthy of the title.
To my delight, I was nominated along with two other very worthy candidates; Claire and Paige. We were given ‘Nominee’ certificates which was a lovely touch and I loved reading the reasons on the back of why I was nominated..

– She has lost an amazing amount of weight and shares her ups and downs
– Always willing to help and share recipes
– True inspiration
– Positive and focused
How lovely is that! I’m so proud to have been nominated and although I didn’t win the title, I was really pleased to have been a part of it.
I’m not sure if any of my fellow SW group read this blog but if you do, thank you SO much; not only for my nomination but for all your support in group and throughout the week online. My online support group is hugely inspirational to me, all the followers on Instagram and on Twitter really do help me stay on track and I’m so grateful. Slimming World has really changed my life. I’m such a better person both inside and out for what SW has taught me and naturally I’m loving the changes I’ve seen in my body and my confidence!
Fingers crossed for another good week on plan and getting nearer to getting that award x
