If you’re looking for a family-friendly dining experience that combines fun and food, COSMO Authentic World Kitchen in Wolverhampton is a great choice. Inspired by the high standards of five-star hotels, COSMO offers a global buffet that’s designed to delight the whole family with its wide variety of dishes; from Cantonese to Italian, Teppanyaki to South East Asian favourites, COSMO is a delight for the taste buds.

We visited the restaurant on a weekday evening and was looking forward to an evening of delicious food. We have been to the restaurant previously for a family birthday celebration so knew we were in for a feast. Upon arrival, we were seated at our table and our waitress took our drinks order. We were invited to take a look around and enjoy the various cuisines around the restaurant.

I was looking forward to trying some of the Chinese food and filled my plate with some of my favourites; cantonese style chicken, spicy pork, egg fried rice and prawn toast. I like an eclectic mix when eating at a buffet restaurant so also added greek salad and chickpeas to my plate alongside a wild paring of Mediterranean olives and button mushrooms.

One of the main highlights at COSMO is the live cooking stations, especially the teppanyaki grill. Here, you can watch chefs cook fresh steaks, seafood, and other delicious dishes right in front of you. For children, this can be an exciting experience, turning the meal into a fun show where they get to see their food being prepared in real time.

The boys picked some of their favourite foods and also tried some new dishes; Freddie tried some chow-mein noodles and really enjoyed them whilst Olly tried the freshly made naan bread and a Tikka Masala curry. Trying new foods at a buffet restaurant is always a great idea when you don’t want to spend a fortune on food the children are not going to enjoy. My husband enjoyed a plate of variety from carvery to curry, it was a real mix of buffet food.
When it comes to dessert, COSMO goes above and beyond to satisfy the sweet tooth. The boys absolutely loved the legendary chocolate fountain, where they dipped marshmallows and fresh fruit into a cascade of silky Swiss milk chocolate. There were plenty of other tasty treats like fresh eaton mess, delicious bite size cakes, cream filled profiteroles, and a variety of ice cream flavours, ensuring that everyone could find a dessert that they would enjoy.

Though we found COSMO to be busy, the vibrant atmosphere adds to the experience. Families might find the hustle and bustle a bit lively, but it’s all part of the fun, making it an ideal setting for big family outings or celebrations. The service was excellent, our empty plates and bowls were cleaned away quickly and the staff were on hand to answer any questions and serve drinks from the bar. For a dining spot that blends variety, flavour, and a touch of spectacle, COSMO Wolverhampton is a top choice for the whole family.
