events and news from Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham
Christmas Bricktacular has arrived at Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham and as local blogger ambassadors, we couldn’t wait to join in the festive celebrations. There’s so much going on this Christmas with festive additions in Miniland, a hunt to find Santa’s lost reindeer, Build and Test challenges, Character meet and greet in Santa’s Grotto plus a dance party.
Christmas Bricktacular has arrived
This weekend we spent the afternoon at Legoland and had a brilliant time. We love Miniland so really enjoyed looking at all the festive additions to the city. Of course, the Frankfurt Christmas Market made an appearance as well as lots of Christmas trees, the Nativity scene and Santa Claus himself in his sleigh.
Checkout Miniland
Within Miniland there’s a fun festive hunt for Santa’s lost reindeer. Pick up a leaflet from the ticket booth and wander through Miniland keeping an eye out for the reindeer. We managed to spot all but one, Dasher, where are you?
Fun activities to join in with
There’s lots of fun activities for children to get involved in, including build and test challenges throughout the day. Check out the activities board for the times during your visit. We didn’t take part in any of the challenges but saw some brilliant Santa’s and Christmas Trees made out of LEGO.
Olly loved the huge LEGO brick Santa, he was fantastic and we had to take some photographs to say hello. We also took advantage of the Character Meet and Greet in Santa’s Grotto where the boys got to meet LEGO Santa. Freddie, my one year old, isn’t a fan of Santa so declined to meet him (again!) but Olly was very keen. The boys both received a chocolate treat from Santa’s helper upon leaving the grotto.
We had a really lovely afternoon at Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham. Olly loved the soft play, made cars to race down the ramp and Freddie loved playing with the DUPLO. It was brilliant to see all the festive figures made out of LEGO and meet the Santa Character. It’s one of Olly’s favourite places so we’ll definitely be back soon.
The Christmas Bricktacular event is on at Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham until 23rd December 2019. You can find out more and book your tickets at https://birmingham.legolanddiscoverycentre.co.uk.
