The first weigh in of 2016


After standing on the scales on the Tuesday before new year, I knew I had to get back on track sharpish. I’m not one of those people who can eat treat after treat, drink alcohol and get away with it. I gained 8lb in 5 days and knew that it would only get worse if I didn’t get back on plan.

After weigh in, I made a meal plan to cover our meals for the next few days taking into account New Years Eve and making sure we had enough fresh fruit and SW friendly foods in for all those moments when I wanted to jump into the Christmas chocolate stash.

It’s so hard trying to be good when there’s temptation everywhere. I had a little treat on New Years Eve (oh hello naughty GU cheesecake!) but apart from that I have tried to remain on plan as much as I could counting out my syns and using them for a little chocolate treat or two once Olly has gone to bed.

Standing on the scales last night, I saw a whopping 6lb loss and I was delighted. It gives me such a boost to stay on track. One of the techniques I’ve used this week to stay away from the naughtiness in the cupboards is to imagine myself standing on the scales and seeing a loss. It’s worked this week. I’m desperate to get this weight moving again, I want to buy smaller clothes and I can’t wait to see myself at a smaller size. Let me tell you buying size 18 clothes is amazing but I’d love to be buying 16’s or even 14’s! You can see a glimpse of me at my largest here.

My SW consultant gave me this lovely little certificate as I was the only member to lose last night in group. I was delighted!

The plan this week is to stay on track, drink lots of water, stick within my syns and join up with the local leisure centre for their Aqua Fit classes. Yup, I can’t wait to get back in the water for a splash about and I think I’m finally ready with my confidence to get back in the swimming costume to start toning up the wobbly bits!

Total weight lost: 4 stone 11.5lb (only 3lb to go until I’m back to my lightest ever weight on this Slimming World journey!

        Well my weigh in was rubbish i gained 3lbs im gutted.

          Don’t be too disheartened. Plan your meals out for the week ahead and just take it one day at a time. Don’t worry about the past, you can’t change it just look to the future x

    Don’t go low carb because if you remove food groups you will gain if you put it back how are you doing now, my name is June
