30 weeks old..

30 weeks old

My gorgeous Little Mr is now 30 weeks old, that’s just a few days short off 7 months.

His character is starting to shine now and we have a very cute and chilled out little dude on our hands. He takes pretty much everything in his stride, only getting upset if he’s really tired or he really doesn’t like anything (which at the moment is only cauliflower cheese and unsupportive restaurant highchairs)

He’s sleeping like an absolute pro and I’m so grateful that he seems to have inherited both mine and my hubby’s love of sleep. After a relaxing warm bubble bath and as much milk as he can manage, we zip him into his sleeping bag with his ever trusty Ewan by his side and within half an hour, he’s fast asleep. He’s a proper fidget though, he rolls from side to side and his latest trick is rolling round the cot bed and waking up facing the other side of the room to what he was facing at bedtime. He doesn’t wake up through it though and he’s perfected the art of picking up his dummy (in the dark) and popping it back in his mouth. He’s a clever kid.

After a stressful week, I think we’re getting somewhere with weaning. His first bottle of milk of the day goes down really well. Throughout the day he’s improving with the amount of thicker purees he’s eating. He’s actually chewing and moving the food around in his mouth too so he is learning. The amount of milk he is drinking is slowly reducing too so it must all be working. He’s had a few finger foods and so far the favourites are most definitely Organix Carrot Sticks that look and taste a bit like giant Wotsits.

He’s interacting with us a lot more, babbling away and trying to make conversation. We ‘think’ he might have said Dadda but I’m not too sure if he means Dadda or that he just likes the way it sounds as he’s talking. He’s reaching out for things and grasping them well, he can definitely pick up his dummy, toys and food now. Although he’s not too handy with the sippy trainer cup of water.

He’s become quite the poser for the camera and whenever I get my iPhone out and show him the screen he instantly smiles at himself on screen. He recognises himself in the mirror too which is very sweet as he likes to smile back at his reflection.

My Little Mr is an absolute delight to be around (especially when he gets his naps in) and I’m so proud to have such a gorgeous smiley happy baby. I am one very lucky Mummy.

Love you Son xx

He looks like such a character and that photo of the two of you is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing with #whatsthestory
