Collaborative Post

We’re well into the last few weeks of the school term and if you’re anything like me, you’re willing your kids once pristine school uniform to last just a few more weeks. The arms are getting too short, the trousers are getting too tight and the school summer break cannot come quick enough. Thankfully, we don’t need to worry about school shoes this half-term as Freddie has been sent a pair of Start-Rite Rhino Warrior school shoes. We’ll be testing the school shoes over the last few weeks of term to see how they perform!

Start-Rite Rhino Warrior School Shoes

As a Mum of two boys, aged 7 and 12, we’ve gone through our fair share of school shoes over the years. I’ve always shopped for shoes that appear to be durable and hard-wearing, strong enough to deal with football on the playground and scaling up climbing frames after school but sometimes after a busy term, the shoes don’t live up to the hype!

Start-Rite have a fantastic collection of school shoes with every shape, style and size to suit our growing kids. They estimate a child will wear their school shoes for at least 1200 hours each year and therefore, it’s really important that school shoes help support increased activity and promote comfort from morning until well into the afternoon, on a daily basis.

Happy seven year old feet

Freddie knows his own style. He loves being able to run around and be comfortable doing so, which is why he chose the Rhino Warrior school shoes to try out this term. He loved the style of the shoe and commented how he’d be able to play football with the scuff resistant toe and heel bumpers. Although he can tie his own shoe laces now, he much prefers the rip-tape fastening as they’re quick to put on and quick to take off. Play time is precious and he doesn’t have time to waste tying his own laces in  the morning!

Mum’s first impressions

For me, I was impressed with how durable they looked. They’re really well made with leather and textile uppers and a polyurethane sole. I love the padded ankles and lightweight flexible sole which ensures natural movement and healthy foot development. My Freddie is an active boy and never wants to feel restricted by the footwear he wears. Additionally, I love that the shoe has breathable linings and removable insoles to keep busy feet fresh. The Rhino Warrior school shoe is super tough and durable, and is designed to last. Just take a look at those soles, they look like racing car wheels; super tough flex grooves that provide excellent grip!

We’ll be taking a closer look at the school shoes at the beginning of August to see just how they have faired over the last 7 weeks. I’ll make sure I take lots of photographs and will write up an honest review so if you’re looking for hard wearing, comfortable and stylish school shoes for your children this year, don’t forget to pop back to take a look!

The Rhino Warrior School Shoe is available in the older boys range with sizes from 12 up to 9; available in narrow, standard, wide and extra wide fittings. The ideal school shoe for any active youngster!
