It is no secret that I love anything that is Emma Bridgewater so when I heard that they were teaming up with Russell Hobbs to create the kitchen appliances of dreams, I was excited! I love the Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot collection and already have the Tea, Coffee and Sugar Caddies, numerous matching mugs as well as tea towels and oven gloves. I was so excited to get my hands on the new iconic Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot appliances. Both the kettle and toaster are mainly cream in colour with the colourful Polka Dot pattern adorning the rest of the appliances.

Russell Hobbs are a brand name well known for their quality appliances and this is true for this new collection too. Both the kettle and toaster feel like luxury products. They both look fantastic and they’re very well made and have some fantastic features.

The kettle of my Polka Dot dreams

The Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot kettle doesn’t just look beautiful, it’s got a whole host of brilliant features that you would expect from the Russell Hobbs brand. The 1.7L capacity kettle has quiet boil technology meaning it’s 70% quieter that other kettles and also boasts fast boil technology, taking just 45 seconds to boil a single cup of water. This technology saves up to 66% energy so is ideal for modern homes.

The kettle has a perfect pour spout and I can verify it pours accurately without leaks. For convenience, the kettle has an anti-scale water filter and removable lid with cord storage allowing it to be a cordless kettle for pouring the perfect cup.

Two slices or four, the Polka Dot toaster

To compliment the kettle, Russell Hobbs have introduced two toasters to the Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot collection. We have been sent the four slot toaster, which is ideal for us in the busy mornings as we feed the boys before the school run. It features a faster toasting function as standard which helps to reduce the stress in the morning rush allowing you to enjoy your breakfast.

Although it has four slots, you can operate 2 slices independently for smaller portions. These wider slots can accommodate toast, crumpets or tea cakes, whatever takes your fancy. It has frozen, cancel and reheat functions which are perfect for busy family lives as well as being able to vary the browning of your toast with 6 variables. The toaster also has a removable crumb tray to help you keep your toaster in tip top condition.
