Little Mr celebrated his second birthday on Tuesday and he was a very lucky boy who was gifted some fabulous toys, clothes and books from our very kind and generous family and friends.
I love watching him playing with his toys. His imagination is starting to shine through now as he plays with his toys and making up conversation. On Friday, whilst we were waiting for our dog Mikey to have his haircut with the dog groomer (they park outside our home and he gets washed, his fur cut and nails trimmed, it’s well worth the money!), he made me a chocolate cake in his wooden kitchen and told me it was delicious. He loves to make me breakfast and a cup of tea and loves to make Daddy the same when he gets home from work.

When the dog came back all freshly washed and hair cut, Little Mr was amazed. He kept shouting ‘dog hair cut Mommy, hair cut look’. It’s the first time he’s paid any attention to the dog having his hair cut. Little Mr’s becoming really fond of the dog, even if it’s not reciprocated all of the time. He likes to stroke his fur and blow him a kiss. It really is very cute.

I caught them both sitting in the hallway that afternoon and managed to take some photographs of them together. The dog doesn’t look impressed but Little Mr adores him.
After the dog has wandered off to find some peace and quiet, Little Mr and I watched a film together snuggling on the sofa with our blankets interspersed with playing with his new jigsaws on the carpet. It was the perfect afternoon.
