Living Arrows – Week 40 – Parklife

It’s been a busy weekend here. Saturday was an exciting day for us as we had a couple of journalists from ITV’s Tonight programme come and spend the day with us. Can’t reveal too much more but it’ll be on the television in late November. Little Mr and I spent most of Friday afternoon cleaning the house so it was dust free and tidy for the camera crew  but to be honest, I would have loved specialists in industrial cleaning to have taken care of it for me. Our house is cluttered with toddler toys, craft stuff and pushchairs so we had to have a good clean up and make some space. Luckily, the day went without a hitch and we all really enjoyed having the ITV crew with us.

Sunday was a day to relax and play. Little Mr had been full of beans over the weekend so we took advantage of the sunshine and went over our local park to play under bright blue skies.

It was such a wonderful afternoon. We love exploring the park and Little Mr was in awe of all the different coloured leaves on the ground, not to mention the acorns, apples and pine cones that he managed to find on the floor.

The park’s also got a great playground for little ones and Little Mr is a big fan of the slide. However, he’ll only go down the slide on his tummy with his legs and bum first and it’s really funny to watch. He made both hubby and I go on the slide with him which we didn’t mind, we’re big kids too!

We had a wonderful weekend at home enjoying the sunshine and hope it lasts for the rest of the month so we can get out and enjoy the great outdoors some more this autumn.
