Happy New Year! It’s the start of a brand new shiny year, a year full of opportunity and potential. It’s time to focus on the year ahead and look at what we want to achieve this year. For me, I love to think ahead and manifest a brilliant year ahead. I love to think about what I’d like to achieve and what I need to do to turn my goals into a reality. It’s important to remain realistic as no-one wants to fail with their goals so with this in mind, here’s my goals for my blog and work, family goals and personal goals for 2020.
Blog / work goals
- Work out / schedule regular working hours during the week to try and restore worklife balance
- Increase blog traffic by at least 25% per month
- Set up regular checklists for blog admin (to include broken links, calendar updates and scheduling social media posts)
- Re-photograph popular recipe blog posts
- Take an SEO course
- Learn how to use Google Analytics and Search Console properly
- Update SEO for popular recipe blog posts
- Update popular recipe blog posts with pins for Pinterest
- Try out 2 recipes per month to share on the blog and photograph
- To feature in a magazine and talk about blogging
- Gain another 2 social media clients to grow my social media management client base
- Increase social media channels by at least 100 (It is so hard to grow these!)
Personal goals
- Feel comfortable in my own skin again (eat less / move more)
- Rejoin Slimming World
- Grow my confidence so I can hold conversations without feeling like I am being judged
- Put myself first more often
- Exercise at least once a week
- Meal plan every week
- Drink lots more water
Family goals
- Re-decorate the boys bedroom
- Move Freddie from his cotbed into a bunkbed with Olly
- Visit a English Heritage property at least once a month
- Enjoy a family holiday
- Carry on with the Me and Mine Project
- Take the boys swimming / start swimming lessons with them both
There they are. They’re written down so I must really want to work on these this year. I think they’re realistic and possibly achievable. I will be working on these when I finally get back into our home office on Monday and I’m ready to start learning more and working smarter not harder.
