Hello! It’s Friday evening, Little Mr is asleep (just) and both hubby and I are sitting in the caravan pitched in North Norfolk with a cider each reflecting on our first ‘proper’ family holiday. We’ve had such a lovely holiday. We’ve done quite a few miles over the last 6 days (630 miles so far) zipping east to west across the Norfolk countryside and along the coastal roads. We’ve visited our favourite beaches, found new ones to revisit next time, spotted wild seals in the sea, heard wild owls hooting after dusk and enjoyed walks along the sea front taking in the view and the salty sea air. We’ve enjoyed a day trip to Norwich City Centre and dabbled in a spot of shopping. The shopping centres there are brilliant, ideal for Christmas shopping in a few months. We’ve eaten far too much as usual as you do on holiday and I’ve even had an alcoholic drink or two. We’ve enjoyed one or two pub lunches, eaten at a fab cafe in Cromer town centre, sampled too many different flavours of ice creams and indulged in fish and chips on the beach.

It’s been a fabulous week and we’ll be sad to pack up our bags in the morning and leave this gorgeous part of England to travel home.

Thank you Norfolk for the sunshine, the torrential downpours (mostly) at night and the scenery, it is simply breathtaking. We’ve had a fabulous holiday and we’ll definitely be back.

With love, the Shiltons x
