How to Keep the Exterior of Your Home Looking Squeaky Clean

Collaborative Post

When you drive up to your home, it’s the first thing that you see. And if it’s not looking its best, it can really put a damper on your day. That’s why it’s important to keep your exterior looking clean and polished at all times. In this blog post, we’ll give you some tips on how to make your home look squeaky clean from top to bottom!

#1 Start with a good clean-up

The first step to making your home look squeaky clean is to do a thorough clean-up. Clear away any clutter from the front yard, and sweep and mop the porch and driveway. If there’s any dirt or stains on the exterior of your home, use a cleaning solution to remove them. Be sure to rinse off any cleaning solution properly to not leave behind any residue.

If you have window sills or porches that are made out of wood, be sure to give them a good polish using a wood sealant. This will help protect them from weathering and keep them looking shiny and new!

#2 Make sure everything is in place

The next step to making your home look squeaky clean is to make sure that all the fixtures are in their proper place. Check for any loose screws on doors or window frames, and tighten them up if necessary. If there are any pieces of siding missing from your house, replace them with new ones so that they match perfectly! Also, be sure not to inspect every aspect of the exterior surface looking for cracks or chips – fill these in using caulk where needed.

If you have a mailbox out front, it’s important to keep it well maintained as well! You may need some help getting this project done depending on what kind of mailbox setup you have (i.e., post mounted versus wall mounted). Be sure not to let any overgrown plants or vines cover up your mailbox, as this can make it difficult for the mailman to deliver your mail!

#3 Give it a good wash

You can’t have a squeaky clean home without giving it a good wash! This is especially true for homes that are made out of stucco or cement. A pressure washing service will help you get rid of all the dirt and grime that has accumulated over time, leaving behind nothing but smooth surfaces in its place. If there’s any mold growing on your exterior house walls, use bleach mixed with water to kill off the spores before they spread further into other parts of your property (if possible).

Also, if you have any outdoor furniture (i.e., chairs, tables, umbrellas, etc.), be sure to wash it down with a hose as well. This will help get rid of any dirt or stains that may have built up over time.

#4 Plant some flowers and trees

One of the best ways to make your home look squeaky clean is by planting some flowers or trees in the front yard. The colors will add a pop of brightness to an otherwise drab landscape, and they’ll also provide you with a nice place to sit outside on warm days! Just be sure not to plant anything too close together so that there’s enough space for them all to grow well without overcrowding each other out!

If you don’t have any flowerbeds yet, consider getting started on this summertime project as soon as possible. It may seem like it would take forever, but once everything is done nicely, it becomes worth its weight in gold when people come over for barbecues (or whatever social gathering).

#5 Keep up with regular maintenance

Finally, don’t forget about the importance of regular maintenance. For example, if you have gutters on your house that need to be cleaned out every so often, take care not to let them overflow or get clogged up with leaves and other debris! In addition, it would be best if you also inspected things like window sills for cracks in order to prevent water damage over time – this will save money down the line as well when it comes time to replace those items because they’ve been neglected too long without proper upkeep being done periodically along the way as needed.

There’s no doubt about it – making your home look squeaky clean can be a lot of work! But if you take your time and follow these tips, then you’ll definitely see results in the end. So just be patient and keep at it, and soon enough, your house will be good as new (or even better than before)!
