This weekend just gone was spent under canvas in the Lincolnshire countryside. There’s nothing more I enjoy than spending time with my family (Hubby and woofer, my Parents, my Grandparents and my Sister, Brother-in-law and Nephew) making our own entertainment, enjoying my Dad’s barbecues,
getting sandblasted sunbathing on the beach and catching up with good friends.
We were lucky with the weather, it rained on Saturday morning whilst we were getting up but then we enjoyed the sunshine for the rest of the day. It was a tad chilly during the evenings but nothing a hoody and the roaring firepit couldn’t sort out. We enjoyed toasting marshmallows with my Nephew and my Grandparents whilst trying not to get carried away and burning them to a crisp.
We spent a good couple of hours on the beach of Chapel St. Leonards on the East Coast with our friends who live up there. The wind was viscous but we didn’t let it spoil our fun. My Nephew got buried in the sand, my Sister and I pranced around the sand pretending we were Olympic torch bearers and the dog enjoyed a spot of sunbathing.
