Planning UK caravan staycations with Dyce Caravans // AD

When I remember back to the holidays of my childhood, the majority of them were staycation holidays in and around the UK. My Parents used to hire a caravan in St Andrews, Scotland and every September for a decade, we travelled up through the night to spend a week on the Scottish coast. I have so many fantastic memories of growing up with holidays in caravans, I want that for my own children too. They gave us so much freedom and we had such wonderful holidays.

Unfortunately at the moment with the UK in lockdown we aren’t able to get out and about on the road. We are really spoilt for choice when it comes to campsites and places to stay. Why not start by researching places local to you and further afield and build up a list of locations and campsites that you’d like to tick off for future holidays?

Enjoy the flexibility

If you’re considering a caravan staycation, it might be because you want to enjoy the flexibility that a caravan holiday provides. Touring caravans are portable and can be towed to your favourite holiday destinations. You can set up camp for the week and enjoy your home-from-home holiday. Motorhomes are portable homes where the accommodation travels with you and you can stop and pitch up wherever you’re able too! If you want to change plans at the last minute or even get home sooner than expected, then either of these options allows you to travel as your needs take you. Holidays in a caravan can provide you with warm accommodation and a cosy nights sleep.
