Hello there!

Welcome to the blog!
Written by Emma Shilton, Hello MrsShilts is an established UK family lifestyle blog.

Take a look around and read our latest blog posts all about our busy family life here under the beautiful Staffordshire skies!

This weekend saw @btcc return from summer break to This weekend saw @btcc return from summer break to @thruxtonracing for what always promises to be a fantastic event full of high speed on track action.

I love being in the paddock watching the teams do their thing, seeing all their hard work, the banter between the engineers and mechanics and all the BTS stuff. It’s such an accessible sport to watch and enjoy!

Huge congratulations to @catacleanuk @plato.racing and @danielrowbottom.32 for his P3 and @jamesdorlin for his Independent wins and the Jack Sears Trophy 🏆 🏁🎉

Huge shout out to @restartracing22 for their wonderful hospitality this weekend and for all the little extra kindness you’ve shown the boys, much appreciated ❤️💙 (not an ad!)

Another couch to 5K session ticked off, with the beautiful Staffordshire sky putting on a show. The view was worth getting out for… but the progress is worth even more. 🧡🏃‍♀️

5 things no-one tells you about losing weight.. 1 5 things no-one tells you about losing weight..

1. People will treat you differently. There are more smiles, more eye contact, more compliments, more opportunities. It’s a tough reality, but it’s real 🥺

2. You stop breaking promises to yourself. Every walk, every workout, every choice, every day you show up builds a level of self-trust that changes everything 💛

3. Your world gets bigger. You stop hiding from photos, avoiding plans or wondering if you’re “good enough”. You start saying yes to life ✨

4. Not everyone celebrates your growth. Some will project their own insecurities, make jokes, or tell you you’ve “changed” because your confidence has grown 🤨

5. You realise the biggest transformation was never your body. Losing weight doesn’t solve every problem, but it removes one of the biggest excuses. What’s left is someone who knows they’re capable of hard things! 💪🏻

The weight I’ve lost so far has changed how I look.. The discipline and determination it took to lose it, changed who I am 💙
Last night his heart broke 💔 Not because England l Last night his heart broke 💔 Not because England lost, because he truly believed they wouldn’t.

Kids don’t support with caution. They don’t expect disappointment. They dream big, sing louder, and believe until the very last whistle. Maybe that’s what we should hold onto.

Hope isn’t naive. Hope is powerful ✨

Because every tournament starts with a child who believes, and every heartbreak comes with the promise of another chance.

So we’ll dry the tears, he’ll rewear the shirt and when the next tournament comes around, he’ll believe all over again. And so will we. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
