Most kids love new adventures. Growing up, there were many open spaces around me, but it was always an adventure to pack all our camping gear and head out to new places. We didn’t have the luxury to camp in a motorhome back then – we used our old tent. But when I discovered campervan travel with my kids, tent camping was a thing of the distant past. It’s much more convenient to holiday with children in a motorhome, caravan, or camper than in a tent.
Although owning a motorhome gives you the freedom to travel with your family on your own schedule, it might not be the best choice for you. Our house is where your campervan holiday begins and ends. There are no airport security lines, baggage limits, or set departure times. There’s plenty of room for our dog, as well as books and toys for our kids. After we have packed everything, the bag is there until we leave. There is no need to move between hotel rooms or follow a strict schedule. All you have to do is enjoy the freedom and open road ahead of you.

Comfort
It’s obvious that motorhome camping is a luxury over tent camping. This makes travelling with children a breeze. Motorhome camping is more comfortable than tent camping, and you can make meals ‘on-the-go’. This is especially important for families with young children.

Discovery
Our children’s classroom is the world outside. While books can be a great source of information, it is the visual and hands-on experiences that make us remember them. Amazing learning experiences include hiking, stargazing and ranger programs.

Environment
Every time we move camping sites, our environment changes. Our children love to camp in the mountains, on the lake, or at the beach. We can’t wait for them to share their discoveries with us.

Consistency
The same bed each night, the same meals cooked in the camper, and their favourite things are all part of that consistency. These are all factors that contribute to the comfort and familiarity our children feel when they’re ‘at home’ in their motorhome.

Social interaction
Social interactions are easy at campgrounds. Children always find others to play with, whether they are at the playground, the park, or in the camp store. Children come from many backgrounds and can give them great insight into different cultures and places. Parents are also welcome. Chance connections with neighbors in a campground have been the basis of many a lifetime friendship.

A motorhome holiday is a great way for parents and children to bond with one another without the pressures of home. Our kids are more comfortable cooking together, playing games with the board, soccer, or just sitting around the campfire. They also have more fun and engage in more conversation than at home.

You can travel in your motorhome without worrying about planning. You can extend your stay if you and your children really enjoy a place. You can adapt your travel plans as long as you have a place to park your motorhome overnight.

Although our kids aren’t lazy, we found that they do more on motorhome holidays than when they were at home. They are surrounded by the great outdoors every day, from the moment they get out of the motorhome. They are happy to let go of their electronic devices and enjoy the outdoors. Motorhome holidays are a great way to let your kids be children. A motorhome is a big playhouse for children. It’s like a magic carpet that takes them to new places every day. You can see their excitement at the amazing activities and trips you take them on, and they will be able to share moments with you that are unlike any other holiday.
