Continuing my nosey at Baby’s First Christmas plans, traditions and practices, is an interview with blogger Ayse who’s daughter (known as Baby R) will be celebrating her first Christmas this year.
Hello Ayse, can you tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
My name is Ayse and I live in South Wales with my other half MM and two little girls; Pops who is 4 and Baby R who is 7 months.
What are your plans for the lead up to Christmas?
We don’t really have many plans this December, I’m hoping my sister will come up to visit and might attempt a trip to London. Who knows, I’m so disorganised.
Will you be starting any new traditions or keeping up with any old ones?
We are doing Elf on the shelf again, not as a punishment or for the elf to watch but more as a nice surprise each morning. We are also keeping up with the tradition of a real tree on our child’s first Christmas.
How will you all be spending Christmas Day?
It was supposed to be at home as a family but MM’s sister has invited her Mum and Dad for Christmas and as they live a couple of doors down we will all be spending the day together. Well, morning at ours and then to theirs.
What will Baby R be wearing on Christmas Day?
R will probably be wearing the Christmas outfit my mum has bought for her. I think it’s a Christmas tree.
What gifts will you be buying for Baby R for her first Christmas, if any?
The only thing I know I want for her is Tomy squeaking eggs.
Will you be making any Christmas crafts with Baby R this year?
I’m going to attempt reindeer footprints with hers and Pop’s feet.
What are you most looking forward to this Christmas and how are you going to make it special?
It will be nice to celebrate as the four of us, I wish my family could be closer so I could see them on the day too though.
Will Baby R be visiting Father Christmas this year? And do you still believe?
I haven’t booked anything yet but I think we’ll end up going to the local garden centre to see him. I don’t still believe.
Wishing you all a very happy First Christmas with Baby R..x
