Keeping toys tidy with The Sorting Box | Tidy Boxes review

It’s inevitable that after every Christmas, our children are luckily inundated with toys, books and games. Whilst the children are kept entertained, the trouble for parents is that we have to find a new home for all the gifts. The Sorting Box from Tidy Books is the answer to my inner Monica Geller dreams. A neat looking storage box with removable inner compartments perfect for all those little toys and books.

We’ve been sent a couple of the Stack Up Toy Sorting Boxes out to review and they couldn’t have come at a better time. Storage for toys is a big issue for me with lots of toys and games coming in cardboard boxes that are ripped open and destroyed by my impatient three year old. Olly was given many sets of Lego and Duplo at Christmas and we were struggling for somewhere to store them when not being played with.

What is The Sorting Box?

The Sorting Box is a simple wooden box, available in different colours to suit all home decors. We chose white to match Olly’s bedroom furniture and it came with three grey removable compartments. The box was really easy to assemble and took me just under fifteen minutes to put it all together with the provided alum key.

The Storage Boxes fit together well and can be stacked up on each other for ease of storage. It’s worth noting that the boxes aren’t supplied with lids and these are available to buy separately at a cost of £12 each. If you had two storage boxes, you would only need one lid. The unit can then be used as a bedside table or an extra piece of furniture in the bedroom or play room. The boxes are quite light so a pre-schooler would be able to move the box but probably best to supervise your children if they intend moving it.

I really love these boxes as they look nice and neat from the outside and we can keep all of Olly’s bits and pieces all organised and together inside. I’m not sure how long Olly will keep all the Lego, Duplo and Thomas Mini’s organised in there but there’s always hope!

The Sorting Box retails at £59 and is available online from Tidy Books.

If you’re looking for storage ideas post Christmas for all those toys, books and games then the Sorting Box could be just what you’re looking for. We love ours and would really recommend them.

Ah these look fab but we’ve actually just redeployed a storage box that we were using for the girls’ toys. We decided to go for a unit with boxes that pull out as drawers because the girls can get their toys out themselves from those whereas they couldn’t with a storage box. I hope you get on better with this sort of thing than we did!

They’re great and look so clean despite hiding a wealth of mess inside them!

This is something I could really put to use, I’d need to buy about 20 of them though!
