Review: Kitchen blind from The Great British Curtain Co

Whenever we go away for the weekend, I always come back wanting to spruce up my house. I love the clean, uncluttered space in hotels and often swoon over hotel room décor, so much so that I come home and make plans to update and refresh our interiors.

Our new Ikea kitchen was installed before our three year old, Olly came along and since then we haven’t got round to finishing it off. It still needs tiles on the walls and the window was looking a little bare with no blinds or curtains up so when The Great British Curtain Co got in touch and asked if we’d like to finish off the kitchen window with a beautiful blind I was really pleased as they make a brilliant selection of blinds perfect for our kitchen.

The Great British Curtain Co

The Great British Curtain Co make bespoke curtains and blinds to exceptionally high standards here in the UK. Using high quality fabrics and an extensive range of fabrics, there really is something for everyone’s home style and taste. I spent ages looking at the range of fabrics online to find something suitable for our kitchen. I knew we wanted a roman blind for the kitchen window and wanted something with a bit of colour to match our red worktop appliances and my Emma Bridgewater polka dot collection of kitchen bits and bobs.

We chose the Ndee Raspberry fabric by Ashley Wilde for our kitchen as it had a simple stripy pattern and the colours would match our kitchen. I couldn’t wait to see what it looked like when it had been made.

All made to measure curtains and blinds from The Great British Curtain Co adhere to British health and safety regulations and are put through a stringent quality assurance process before they’re sent out so it’s good to know they’re made to the highest standards and made with safety in mind.

When our blind arrived, I was blown away with how well made it was. I really loved the fabric and it looks like a really luxurious blind. My Dad put the blind up in my kitchen for me over the weekend and we love it. As it’s a roman blind we can adjust the length of the blind to suit how much window coverage we want using the chain pull which is securely attached to the wall.

We are thrilled with our new blind and would definitely look to use The Great British Curtain Co again for any window dressing needs we have. The price of the blind varies depending on the requirements of the bespoke measurements but in my opinion reflects the quality and the labour of the blind and we would be happy to pay that for such a well-made blind.

That blind is beautiful – it finishes the kitchen off perfectly. We’ll need new blinds when our extension is finished – I’ll take a look at their website x
