Review // Dorry Tote bag from Dune, London

With both my boys being old enough to carry their own backpacks these days, I’m in my stylish handbag era. There’s not a packet of wipes in sight and I love it! The Dorry Tote Bag from Dune, London is a beauty and will be elevating many of my outfits this spring / summer.

At a glance

The Dorry Tote bag in Tan looks stylish. The bag can be worn in multiple ways with two strong top handles and a crossbody strap (not pictured) which can be detached, allowing the bag to used for a professional day out at a work conference or a day out with friends. The Dorry is available in a range of multiple colours including Red, White, Neutral and Black. The tan in my opinion, is a classic colour way which can accompany many outfits and occasions.

The detail

The Dorry is a classic tote. It has three defined pockets; two outer pockets with popper fastenings and one zipped pocket in the middle. All pockets are a decent size with plenty of room for all your accessories. The inner pocket is ideal for storing your purse, car and house keys as well as other important items zipped safely away whilst in use. The outer pockets are ideal for those accessories that you want to have easy access to when you’re going about your day; your sunglasses, travel tickets, your lip gloss and a hairbrush.

The gold-tone branded hardware adds a touch of elegance, elevating the tote’s overall aesthetic whilst standing studs allow you to protect the bag from grubby floors and general wear and tear. At 35cm wide and 15cm in depth, the bag is a decent size and can be used for those days when you have quite a lot to carry.

Day to day use

I recently used the bag for work and also used it for my recent work conference. I was able to store my water bottle, notepad, pen and a small bag of cosmetic accessories within the Dorry. Not only did it look stylish with my casual workwear, all my belongings were tucked up safely inside and I was able to fill the bag with other various bits and pieces throughout the day. It felt comfortable to carry and I was really pleased with it.

Sustainable styling

Aside from its beautiful aesthetic, the Dorry is made from sustainable materials which makes the bag a real fashion winner. I really dislike fast fashion and I do worry about what we are doing to the environment each season, but the Dorry is made from recycled synthetic materials which allows it to be used over and over without the guilt.

Final thoughts

At £89, the Dorry is a good competitor for a mid-size bag that has the luxurious look and day to day practicality. With its sustainable materials and elegant, sophisticated design it’s a real wardrobe winner! I’ll be using my Dorry whenever I can this season, it’s a beauty.
