The last Me and Mine project post of 2020. I completely forgot to upload November’s post as life just got in the way but I am determined to round off the year with a quick look over the last couple of months.
November and December have been quiet but busy. We’ve been keeping the boys busy with local days out at the weekend and trying to keep our home life as normal as possible.
My Etsy shop has been keeping me very busy and it has been a welcome distraction from the lack of work on the blog and social media. I made and fulfilled over 300 sales and I’m so proud of how much my little shop achieved in such a small amount of time. I have lots of plans for 2021 so I’m hoping the momentum of supporting small business sticks around as I’ve been so grateful for all the love and support.
Limited Christmas festivities
Most Christmas activities didn’t go ahead and sadly Olly didn’t get to do much in school either. He enjoyed his school Christmas dinner though, the last day of term Christmas buffet wearing his Christmas jumper and meeting Santa in a socially distanced manner at the school grotto.
We enjoyed days out at local National Trust properties, getting some fresh air and exploring. In the new year, I’m going to write up all about our NT adventures as there are some lovely places to visit in the Midlands. We enjoyed a festive ‘press’ trip to Silverstone to enjoy a drive around their LapLand experience. It was wonderful and we all enjoyed it. Both boys loved it and Shilts enjoyed driving his car around the iconic racetrack.
Christmas 2020
Christmas was much quieter than usual given the tiers and local restrictions but we managed to spend Christmas Day with both sets of parents and my Sister and nephew thanks to bubbles. We missed seeing my Brother-in-laws as they were home in London and sadly couldn’t join us. It was a lovely day but it did feel odd not hugging our family, I think everyone felt it was a bit odd. I miss giving my Mom and Dad a hug so much! The boys had a lovely day though and were spoilt with gifts, money and chocolate treats so I’m sure they didn’t know any different.
Loving the late December snow
The usually dull week between Christmas and New Year was spent at home playing with new toys and enjoying the snow outside. Freddie loved it as it was the first time he could play it in independently. The snow stayed around for most of the week and we had a lovely walk over a local park which we all enjoyed. Isn’t it beautiful?
