Vienna House Magic Circus Hotel // Disneyland Paris

Taking Olly to Disneyland was pretty much one of the best things we’ve done as a family. He absolutely loved it and seeing his face light up as he watched the parades and saw the fireworks was priceless. But there’s no denying it, Disneyland is expensive and the cost of staying as a family can be considerable but there are cheaper ways of staying so close to the action without it detracting from the experience.

When we knew we were going to visit Disneyland Paris this Summer, we wanted to stay over in one of the hotels close to the park. We chose to stay at Vienna House Magic Circus Hotel which is on the outskirts of the Disneyland resort and just a short ten minute shuttle bus ride away. Both Shilts and I stayed at the hotel ten years ago and had a brilliant stay so we knew Olly would love it there too.

Vienna House Magic Circus Hotel is one of two Vienna House hotels at the edge of the Disneyland resort. They are both themed hotels; Magic Circus being a circus themed hotel and Dream Castle being a medieval castle themed hotel.

When we first got to the hotel, it was too early to check in to our room so we took Olly in for a quick look around before hopping on the free shuttle bus (no.54) to Disneyland. He was in awe of all the circus themed decorations from the big red top at the hotel entrance to the three huge horse wire statues in the reception area. The hotel is fun and very family friendly with multi-lingual staff ready to assist.

After our fun filled day out at Disneyland we went back to our hotel and checked in. It was about 8:30pm and the check in process was quick and easy with an English speaking receptionist. We had been given a Family Suite up on the first floor and as we were all tired from a busy day, we couldn’t wait to take off our shoes and have a relax in the room.

Our Family Suite was perfect for us. A large room with a double bed in it for Shilts and I with a separate room with a bunk bed in it for Olly with his own television. Our room also had a comfy chair, television and en-suite bathroom as well as hot drink making facilities.

The children’s room was separated via a curtain that you could pull across and each of the beds in the bunk had their own lights. Olly loved the room and set up camp on the bottom bunk with Little Ted watching the television.

The bathroom was a good size and had a full size bath and shower over the bath. Again the room had tasteful circus theme decorations and allowed the hotel to continue the theme throughout.

We had the comfiest nights sleep at Vienna House Magic Circus hotel. There was much welcomed air con in our room which was such a welcome relief after a day out in the sunshine and the beds were so comfortable, we all fell asleep well before 10pm and slept straight through. We thought we would hear other guests perhaps coming back after the fireworks in Disneyland but we didn’t hear a thing. It was such a quiet hotel.

Vienna House Magic Circus hotel has a bar, restaurant and leisure facilities on site but unfortunately we didn’t get chance to use them, had we stayed for longer we would have definitely gone in the pool. We went down for breakfast quite early as they advise you with a traffic light system how busy the restaurant can get. It’s a buffet breakfast with the usual offerings of french pastries, cereals and toast as well as small selection of hot cooked items too. Olly loved the pain au chocolat and croissants whilst Shilts tried the hot buffet. The tea and coffee is self-service from a machine and there’s a small choice of juices too.

We had a short but much enjoyed stay at Vienna House Magic Circus hotel and would definitely book to stay at the hotel again if ever we get the chance to go back to Disneyland.

Wow, what a lovely hotel. They have really thought about making sure that children have a great experience haven’t they? I love the idea of a curtain to separate the children’s room so you can enjoy your evening.

Sounds great – we have always stayed in Disney hotels but they often don’t have rooms for 5 so thinking of checking out some of the nearby ones to see what they offer.
