Review: BRIO Rescue Fire Fighter Set

My three year old Olly is a huge cars, trains and airplanes fan. He loves to play with anything with wheels and is at his happiest when he’s playing on the floor in our play room surrounded by his multitude of vehicles. BRIO recently sent him one of their latest toys, the Rescue Fire Fighter Set and he has loved it.

BRIO Rescue Fire Fighter Set

The BRIO Rescue Fire Fighter set is a complete set with a wooden fire truck, wooden fire train and even a firefighter. The set is compatible with all other BRIO sets which is fantastic as we have some vintage BRIO from when my husband was a little boy and Olly had his first BRIO train set for Christmas last year.

There are 10 pieces of wooden track as well as a level crossing so children can have fun putting the track together either in a circuit so that the fire engine train can go all the way around or how ever children like to create windy track ways for their trains to ride on.

I really love the detail that the set has. The Trailer has a hose that you can unwind and pull out and attach to the hands of the Firefighter. You can also pop the Firefighter up on the ladders to help him reach the fire. The best thing about the set in Olly’s eyes was the fire engine has a siren that sounds and bright flashing lights, just like a real fire engine!

Olly has loved playing with the BRIO Rescue Fire Fighter set. The wooden tree and the plastic fire pieces are brilliant for young imaginations.  The train, trailer and fire engine have the classic BRIO magnetic couplings which allow them to easily connect to each other so children can play with them on their own or as part of a chain of vehicles. The level crossing also has a plastic gate which you can move across the road, perfect for role play and little ones playing with their BRIO train sets.

The BRIO Rescue Fire Fighter set is manufactured to BRIO’s high standards and is made from FSC Certified wood so you know the quality of the set is going to be brilliant and will stand the test of time. I would certainly recommend the set for any BRIO fan this Christmas.

The set uses 2 LR44 batteries which are included in the set. Due to small parts the set is suitable for children aged 3 years plus.

The BRIO Rescue Fire Fighter Set is available to buy online and in good retailers for £39.99.

Oh this is adorable. My two have a little Brio train set but I love that they do a fire one too, great for extending an existing set as well.
