Yes, you haven’t misread the post title. I am an actual MAD Blog Awards Finalist, OMG!

MAD Blog Awards UK 2015

Yesterday as I was lying in bed hiding from the world with a crappy case of tonsillitis, I was given the news that I have been nominated and consequently selected as a finalist in the Outstanding Contribution category of the MAD Blog Awards.

At first I thought it was a mistake and had been tagged in a notification incorrectly on Twitter so didn’t really believe it. Then I saw an email in my inbox from Sally Whittle, founder of Tots100 and said MAD Blog Awards who confirmed the nomination and I was completely gobsmacked.

I don’t know who nominated me but I want to say a HUGE heartfelt THANK YOU for putting my name forward and your very kind words.

I am completely blown away and feel incredibly honored for being nominated in such a category where the other finalists are absolutely incredible and completely deserve to be up there. I honestly don’t feel I have done anything remotely award worthy compared to the achievements of the others, (thankfully) there’s just quite a bit less of me than there was last year!

The awards are set to take place in London at a swanky hotel on the 18th September and I cannot wait to hug everyone (Sorry I’m a hugger!) and party with my fellow finalists! If there’s any reason to stick to the diet, then this is it, I need to find a new dress!

Once again, huge thanks to everyone or anyone who nominated me, I am beaming!

Oh, and guess who smashed her 5 stone award last night? Woop Woop!
