Sport Relief is back and this year I’m taking part in a pretty awesome project with Team Honk. Starting this Sunday (12th January), the Team Honk Blogger relay begins at Lands End, Cornwall. Over the next six weeks bloggers from all over the UK will be passing the Team Honk baton on a fun filled adventure covering over 3000 miles to the finishing line at John O’Groats. With over 150 bloggers taking part, it’s going to be a fantastic event.
It’s not just a simple pass the baton on relay, oh no, it’s a relay with a difference. Each team member will be wearing their team colours / onesies / swimwear/ fancy dress or other attire and will be transporting the baton around on the bus / on a train / on the tube / on a bike / on a boat / on foot / and in the car whilst raising as much money as possible. You can find out more about the relay here.
As I live in the West Midlands, I’ll be taking part in the Birmingham leg of its journey up north on the weekend of 15th and 16th February. The baton is sweeping round the Midlands and I’m hoping to rally the troops to take the baton around a popular walking destination (Sandwell Valley) dressed up in something ridiculous (exactly what is to be confirmed!) and then drive further north to pass the baton on.
I need YOUR support. I’m obviously taking part to help Team Honk a roaring success and to raise as much money for Sport Relief as we can. You’ll be helping a wide range of people here in the UK who aren’t as fortunate as we are to help improve and transform their lives.
I would appreciate EVERY penny that you can spare to support me and my fellow Team Honkers whilst we make fools of ourselves for a very special cause.
To support Team Honk Birmingham, you can donate online here and I will love you forever!
