Jubilee weekend preparations..

As you all may know (and if you don’t where the heck have you been?) this weekend marks the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Our Queen Elizabeth II has been Monarch in Great Britain for 60 whole years and in this day and age, that is no mean feat. I didn’t really see myself as much of a Royalist but loved all the hype of William and Catherine’s Wedding and have loved seeing the country getting ready for the celebrations so we thought we’d join in too with a family barbecue on Bank Holiday Monday.

This week I’ve been carrying around my gorgeous Cath Kidston Royal Stan Box Bag and I’ve bought a few novelties including Union Flag cupcake cases and a Party kit from the supermarket.

The Pimms will be mixed with fresh fruit and cucumber (is cucumber a fruit or a veg?) and we’ll be putting up my handmade bunting in the freshly scrubbed garden (thanks to my hubby and brother-in-law).

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend whatever your plans are. I’d love to hear what you’ll be doing to celebrate the Jubilee. {sig}
