I am so excited to be able to bring this interview to the blog. I met Vicky via Twitter a couple of years ago when we were both on the weight loss wagon and trying to conceive our little ones. This Christmas, we both have little ones to celebrate Christmas with. Vicky blogs at Two Plus One.
Hello Vicky, please tell me a little bit about yourself and your family?
Hi I’m Vicky. I’m 34 and first time mum to James who will be 6 months old by Christmas. We live I’m Reading with Hubby/Daddy Chris.
What are your plans for the lead up to Christmas?
I’m not sure we’ll be visiting Father Christmas this year but I may change my mind. I’m planning on making our own Christmas cards using a family photo and also like most years I’ve made a Christmas cake.
Will you be starting any new traditions? Or keeping up with old ones?
A bit of both really, we’ll be starting our own family traditions, some of these will be from when hubby and I were small others will be new. We’ll be leaving a mince pie Father Christmas and a carrot out for Rudolph we’ve actually brought a nice plate for it. James will have a sack from Santa and this will be in our room and be opened 1st thing just like I did with my parents.
How will you all be spending Christmas Day?
We’ll be spending the day at our house with my parents and brother, hubby’s mum and Nan.
What will your little one be wearing on Christmas Day?
Not a 100% sure I have brought him a few Christmas themed tops / outfits
What gifts will you be buying for your little one?
Baby walker, bubble machine & clothes
Will you be making any Christmas crafts with your little one?
No as I think he’s too young, though he will have to watch me decorate the Christmas cake.
What are you most looking forward to this Christmas?
Just the whole experience and making those traditions.
How are you going to make it special?
By having all the family around. Also have a few special new things in the house.
