from shopDisney however all opinions are my own.
For as long as I can remember, both my boys have always loved their plushy toys. My eldest Olly has a huge haul of plush toys from over the years, each with their own little name and he has a small collection of friends on his bed every single night. So it doesn’t surprise me that his little brother has become obsessed with them too. Recently shopDisney sent us a selection of some of their plushy toys and they were a very big hit with the children.
One of my boys favourite things to do is to recreate scenes from everyday life with their plushies. It’s probably a typical scene in homes across the land of a weekend or after school. They bring all their favourite teddies downstairs and they play out schools (complete with registers) adventures on trains and planes, and playing cafes and tea parties with the tea set.
We are huge Disney fans. We watch a lot of Disney movies, we regularly go to see Disney On Ice whenever it’s in Birmingham and we are still yearning to return to Disneyland Paris after our last visit in 2018. It’s just all so magical. We love the characters, the music, the stories, we love everything about Disney.
One of the best things about Disney is that it fuels imagination. I love how my boys play with the characters. Olly is able to recreate scenes from the movies and brings out some of the best lines, whereas Freddie just loves to cuddle the plushies and feed them biscuits and cups of tea. Apparently Mickey Mouse is partial to a bourbon biscuit but Donald Duck prefers a chocolate digestive! I just love seeing my boys making up stories and bringing their favourite Disney characters to life.
The boys were sent Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy and Freddie’s favourite character, as we recently discovered, Donald Duck. I can’t blame him, I love the stroppy little duck too! He’s been carrying him around everywhere with him and it’s just adorable to watch. Olly has loved spending time with Pluto and now he’s sitting at the end of Olly’s bed along with his favourite friend, Little Ted.
I remember when I was little my parents bought me a Disney plushy from a trip to Disneyland Paris and it brings back so many lovely memories for me. I had Flounder from The Little Mermaid and one of the Chipmunks, which I think we still have in the loft to this day. They allow us to bring a little bit of Disney into our homes and let us fill our imaginations with stories, adventures and memories. We really do adore the magic of Disney.
