Playing with the Musical Rainbow Tea Party from Leapfrog // Review

*Product gifted for review*

It’s a staple activity in our house, putting the kettle on for a cup of tea, so it’s only right that we introduce Freddie to making a brew at such an early age. Leapfrog recently sent him the Musical Rainbow Tea Party set and it has been a brilliant addition to the toy box.

Leapfrog Musical Rainbow Tea Party

The Leapfrog Musical Rainbow Tea Party set is more than just a tea set. It’s an educational toy that teaches little ones about colours, numbers, shapes and fruit whilst they play. The colourful tea set comprises of a tea stand which houses the tea pot, two cups and cake that has been sliced into five wedges each with a number and a different coloured top.

The tea pot is the interactive toy with sounds and lights. Press the heart ‘Tea Time’ button to brew a new pot of tea, then lift the lid to change the colour and flavour. Tip the teapot to pour and watch as the teapot appears to empty.

Freddie has been enjoying picking up the tea pot and listening to it making the pouring sounds. The tea pot has British voices so is recognisable for those living in the UK and those who are familiar with the English language.

The teapot has two learning modes; Select Music mode and hear nine songs or choose Tea Party mode to play a range of learning activities featuring colours, shapes, numbers and fruit.

The teapot also lights up in five rainbow colours and describes the colour of the tea which is reflected in the light, i.e the yellow light for lemon tea. Freddie has enjoyed pressing the ‘Tea Time’ button and has been really pleased with himself for discovering something new.

The Leapfrog Musical Rainbow Tea Party set is suitable for children between 1-3 years old and is a great way to introduce children to pretend play. Freddie and his little friends (and much older big brother) have loved playing with the tea set and I can see it’s going to be a favourite in the play room for quite some time as they learn to develop  essential social skills such as patience whilst each other take it in turns and sharing nicely.

The Teapot requires 2 x AA batteries which are included.
