Our Shilton Boys // November 2018

Siblings November 2018

I can’t believe it’s the middle of November already and we’re already into our 11th month of joining in with this Linky. I remember seeing friends taking part in the siblings post and desperately wanting to join in and here we are, having nearly completed a whole year of it. I have to pinch myself sometimes to think all this has happened.

November has been the month where Freddie has been on the move. he’s found his feet and with that he’s into everything. He’s crawling and attempting to walk around the furniture. He’s had a walker for Christmas (although had it early as it’ll be no use in December when he’s probably already walking) and just this week he’s been holding onto it and taking steps forward. He’s doing really well and looks really pleased with himself.

Olly has had a really good month and is doing so well in school. The days where we have to coax him out of the house are long gone and he will happily get dressed, eat breakfast and walk to school with a smile on his face. It’s not all smooth when the bell goes but we are miles away from where we used to be with his anxiety about going into school.

The last four weeks have been good and Freddie has loved having Olly around for half term. We had days out and enjoyed time just the three of us, and Shilts came along when he managed to get time off work. We had a brilliant day trip to London and it was lovely to spend the day with my boys all together.

Back at home and Freddie is wanting to join in more with Olly. He will make noise now as if to say he wants to join in and they’ll both play nicely for five minutes, until Freddie turns off the playstation and ends Olly’s game! I’m really enjoying seeing their bond develop and watching them play with each other. Olly has taken to being a big brother so well and he’s absolutely got a sense of responsibility with Freddie. He likes to look after him and make sure he’s ok, always looking out for his best interests and sometimes taking things off him which he can play with but Olly thinks they’re not suitable! He does make me laugh.

We’ve had some professional photographs of the boys taken for December, our Christmas cards are sorted and I’ll be sharing those next month as they are just beautiful and I’m so proud to see my two boys together.

They are so sweet together, and they look so alike! Glad to hear things have improved with Olly at school, it must be such a relief! #SiblingsProject
