Bambo Nature UK Nappies // Review

We were recently introduced to Bambo Nature, originally a Danish brand, specialising in eco-friendly baby products such as nappies, wipes and skin care products. Bambo Nature pride themselves on producing environmentally friendly products and in particular, nappies that are soft, gentle on little bottoms and contain no harmful ingredients.

Bambo Nature Nappies

We were sent a box full of Bambo Nature nappies to try out with baby Freddie and have been using them over the last four weeks throughout both the day and night.

First Impressions

The Bambo Nature nappies feature a cute colourful design on the front and the back of the nappies as well as the sizing of the nappy. I believe this design varies depending on what size nappy you are using but for size 3 (midi) nappies, they feature a bear sitting on a cloud surrounded by butterflies and a number 3 in a circle on the front. You can distinguish the difference between front and back of the nappy as on the front there’s a front view of a bear sitting on a cloud with butterflies and the back shows the back of the bear sitting on the cloud. The nappies feel soft to the touch and not scratchy like some eco-friendly nappies do.

Sizing

We were sent a case of Size 3 nappies for Freddie which are designed for babies that are 11-20lb in weight. It’s important to check the sizing as we had tried size 2 nappies with him (when he was a little smaller) as that is what he was in another brand of nappies at the time but unfortunately they weren’t a good fit and resulted in a few leaks. However, size 3 (midi) nappies fit Freddie really well and we’ve had no leaks at all even during the night when Freddie has slept from 9pm until 6am, that’s 9 hours of wear and no leaks, brilliant! The soft top-dry layer obviously works well and draws away the moisture from Freddie’s skin as we’ve had very little nappy rash which is a huge plus point for us.

Freddie is approximately 13lb at 14 weeks old so is just into the bracket for the midi nappies. The nappies have lots of growing room in them but that doesn’t seem to impede the quality or functionality of the nappy. They seem to be a comfortable fit and he has no issues with wriggling about in them at all.

Eco-friendly nappies

Aside from the performance of the nappy, which has been brilliant for us with no leaks or issues with comfort, I really like the ethos of the brand. Bambo Nature offer a premium promise which means that their products are skin friendly with no dangerous chemicals or allergens which is essential in my eyes. Babies have such delicate skin that we don’t wan’t them to encounter unnecessary chemicals where they don’t have too! They’re eco-friendly made with sustainable resources and less waste and sleep friendly, meaning they have maximum absorbency, they’re ultra soft and ultra flexible! Bambo Nature understand that parents want the best for their babies and ultimately want to provide a product that is safe for baby and helps the environment out too!
