Bambalino Wrap

Life with a newborn baby is wonderful but exhausting. After the initial few weeks of recovery and all those newborn snuggles, the realisation hits that life carries on and all the jobs still need to get done, even with a precious little one in tow. One of the ways I’ve been able to get back on my feet since having baby Freddie is with the use of a carrier wrap from Bambalino, there’s also the chance for you to win one at the bottom of this post.

Bambalino Wrap

The Bambalino wrap is a sling wrap made from organic cotton. Essentially it’s a long piece of cotton material, with a small amount of spandex in it to give it a little bit of stretch. It’s suitable for any adult of any size to wear and you can babywear up until your baby is about 35lb (approx. 2 years old).

I love babywearing, it’s so handy and once you’ve mastered how to wear the Bambalino wrap (you can watch these handy ‘how-to’ videos here) you’ll be choosing to babywear to reap the benefits for both you and baby.

Why use a Bambalino wrap?

The Bambalino wrap is a great way to keep your little one safe and close. The newborn days are so precious that you want to soak up all those snuggles when you can but you’ll also want to be able to get on with stuff around the house and if you’ve got other children, no doubt you’ll need your hands free for attending to their needs and like me, there’s the school run to contend with too.

Out and about with the Bambalino Wrap

The Bambalino wrap is breathable so it’s perfectly safe for babies to fall asleep in. Usually when I babywear Freddie he falls asleep within a matter of seconds so I know he’s comfortable in there.  It’s really important that the fabric is breathable as having a baby so close on your chest can get quite warm and there’s the danger a baby can overheat. Thankfully, this isn’t something you need to worry about when wearing your baby with Bambalino.

Another massive plus point is that the wrap is machine washable; Freddie suffers from reflux so we’ve already put the wrap through the wash. Inevitably there’s always going to be little accidents when you’re out and about so it’s good to know you can wash it without worry.

How we’ve found babywearing with Bambalino

I’ve been babywearing Freddie on several occasions in and out of the house over the last few weeks and so far, I am loving it. It’s quick and easy to do; although I’ll be honest it took me quite a few attempts and several re-runs of the how-to videos to feel confident enough to pop Freddie in.

We’ve had quite a few afternoons where post-feed Freddie has been unsettled and so I’ve popped him in the wrap and he’s settled and fallen asleep. I’ve been able to get some jobs done around the house happy in the knowledge that Freddie is happy and comfortable too. I’ve been wearing Freddie in the Bambalino for the school runs too which has saved me time in the morning when we’ve been running late and Olly can’t find his school shoes. It’s given me the independence of being able to look after Freddie but get on with life in and outside the house which for any mum with a baby is just brilliant.

The Bambalino wrap is available in either grey or black colourways and is priced at £49.99. However, the wrap is currently on special offer on Amazon with an incredible 54% off at just £22.95. To take advantage of this incredible offer, you can snap up yours here.

I baby wear and I haven’t used my little girl’s pram since she was about a month old. It’s so easy, comfortable and such a lovely way to bond with your baby.
