With the darker nights drawing in quickly of an evening now, one of the things I love to do with my four year old, is escape to the park straight after school with a football or his scooter to enjoy half an hour of freedom. A chance to blow away the cobwebs from a day in school, put some colour into his cheeks with a kick around on the field before heading back home for a hot cuppa. We’re making the most of the last of the day together and squeezing in some family fun.
Thankfully, we’re generally a well family. Aside from the odd cold here and there which is inevitable when you work in Education and go to school with germ-sharing children. With the exposure to sunlight reduced over the autumn and winter months, experts from the Department of Health recommended that everyone should consider taking a daily supplement containing 10 micrograms of Vitamin D to protect bone and muscle health.
To help parents make sure that their children are getting enough Vitamin D, Bassetts Vitamins have launched their Multivitamins +Vitamin D and Calcium. They’ve been developed for children aged between 3 and 6 years old and will help to support healthy muscle function, healthy teeth and healthy bones. Both of which vitamins are necessary for normal bone growth and development in children.
Bassetts Vitamins offer the usual benefits of a standard multivitamin but have the additional Vitamin D and Calcium. The multivitamins are soft and chewy pastilles made with natural fruity flavours; peach and apricot and have no added sugar. They’re easy for children to take and can be easily worked into their daily everyday routine.
As we transition from autumn into the winter months, it’s so important to stay on top of your children’s health and with Olly taking a daily multivitamin, I’m rest assured that he’s getting all the important vitamins he needs so we can enjoy the days out of family fun this season brings. There’s definitely #nodulldays here!
You can pick up a box of Bassetts Multivitamins +Vitamin D and Calcium from all major supermarkets and pharmacies and retails at £5.50 for a box of 30 pastilles.
