Last week I took a drive over to Sutton Coldfield to have a nosey around the new and improved House of Fraser in the Gracechurch Centre. As part of their multi-million pound refurbishment programme, they have recently opened a brand new designer childrenswear department showcasing names such as Howick Junior, Joules, Barbour and Ralph Lauren to name just a few.
Opening on the lower ground floor, the new childrenswear department is home to a host of the UK’s top designer brands all with their AW17 collection on display. There’s a great choice of brands including United Colors of Benetton, Little Dickins and Jones, Ralph Lauren, Farah Jeans, Lyle and Scott, Converse and one of my particular favourites, Joules showcasing their baby and young childrenswear.
I was impressed with the range and it’s great to offer a higher end range of clothes for the folk of Sutton Coldfield.
As part of the refurbishment, there is now a new menswear department on the lower ground floor with new flooring, lighting and fitting rooms and the introduction of new brands such as Armani, Boss Orange and Boss Green.
Over the last couple of weeks, the new House of Fraser store has completed its refurbishment with new floor layouts and increased size of its womenswear, menswear and beauty floors.
The new beauty hall has been significantly transformed with a new entrance and the exposure of concealed windows to flood the department with light. New luxury brands such as Molton Brown and Benefit also feature bringing more designer beauty brands to the store.
As well as the new clothing and beauty departments, House of Fraser have revamped Cafe Zest and have introduced a new cocktail bar. Caffé Botanico offers glasses of prosecco and cocktail aperitifs, alongside Mediterranean food in their smart and stylish urban looking bar.
The new look House of Fraser Gracechurch offers a fantastic choice of designer brands and is the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping. Don’t forget it’s Black Friday too this week so there’s plenty of instore offers to be snapped up. I may or may not have bought myself a gorgeous Radley handbag and was far too tempted by another that caught my eye, well a lady can never have too many handbags!
House of Fraser is situated in the Gracechurch Centre and is throughout the week. There’s special opening hours on the run up to Christmas too so if you’re local pop over, have a look and start that Christmas shopping! You can find out more here.
