Since becoming pregnant and suffering with
morning all day nausea, sickness and an iron deficiency, my husband Shilts has had to up his game around the home. Not just with the cooking (the smell of food made me gag!) and keeping on top of the household chores but with looking after himself and Olly, our four year old son too making sure they were both eating well and everything else ran as normal. We are both used to sharing the household chores, we both do our fair share of the cooking and the washing, Shilts goes food shopping and I unload the dishwasher and sort the clothes once they’re out of the dryer. So when one of you falls ill and isn’t 100%, the other needs to step up and take on their role too to keep things ticking over. Add into that the summer holidays and a full-time job, it can be more than exhausting.
This summer to help combat the daily battle of getting everything done and still having energy to embrace time off with the family, Shilts has been trying out Berocca, the UK’s No.1 energy vitamin. Berocca is full of vitamin including 8 B vitamins (B1, B2, Niacin, B6, Folic Acid, B12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid) which naturally release the body’s energy, helping you to feel energised during the day. They also include Vitamin C, Magnesium and Zinc to help boost your body’s natural immunity.
The last couple of weeks have been particularly busy in our house as both Shilts and I had two weeks off from work. Sadly we couldn’t enjoy lazy days at home, we had our loft to declutter, under the stairs to sort and 14 years worth of possessions and clutter to sort through. We filled a huge skip and two car boots full of recycling, it’s been really rather therapeutic yet tiring for us all. As well as that, we’ve wanted to entertain Olly with family days out to the beach and at local attractions and make the most of our time off together as a family so our past few weeks have been pretty full on.
You but on a really good day
Shilts has been feeling much more energised since taking a Berocca every morning as part of his breakfast routine. It’s such a small change but one that he’s seen a real benefit from. He’s not reaching for a biscuit mid-morning and has reported being much more alert. Just last week, he had to man the hotlines for his University’s Clearing event and after a 12 hour shift, he still had the energy to spend some quality time with Olly before hitting the hay. Berocca has set him up for the day and has helped him have a really good day.
Berocca isn’t recommended for use during pregnancy but I’ll definitely be keeping these in stock for next January when our baby boy is here. Life doesn’t stop when you have your second baby (apparently) and so I’ll be needing all the help I can get to be on top form!
