#SlimmingSunday (July 2017)

Welcome back to #SlimmingSunday, the weightloss, fitness and healthy lifestyle linky with me, MrsShilts and Michelle from Mummy From The Heart.

Since our last #SlimmingSunday we’ve had a busy month. I won’t lie, with a holiday in France and me not feeling very well over the last few weeks, following any sort of diet has been the last thing I wanted to do. But I’m a big believer in that holidays are to be enjoyed and we did just that, we ate croissants, ice cream and all the french bread. All good things must come to an end or definitely in moderation so I’m back to meal planning and stocking up the fruit bowl.

Hopefully I’ll be back to group on Tuesday and weighing in. I’m expecting a gain and that’s fine, I expect it and will take any gain that’s owed to me. I know what I need to do to get back on plan and remembering to take it steady one day at a time. Shilts went back to his SW group on Wednesday and gained a hefty 8lb, that’s what french bread, all the cheese, beer and take aways does for you so I’m expecting similar (just minus the beer and cheese for me)

Did you manage to catch the SW summer berries pavlova I made earlier in the month? It was a beautifully light dessert which is perfect for the summer and can be a show stopper for any family party. I’m planning on making some more SW friendly desserts over the next few weeks so look out for those and as it’s BBQ season I’m hoping to rustle up some new recipes for family get togethers this Summer. Do you have any tried and tested BBQ recipes that you’d like to share? I’m looking for inspiration to help us stay on track and enjoy ourselves.

Sorry to hear you have been ill! It’s not fun trying to stick to plan but just not feeling it and holidays are a time to relax. I hope you are happy with whatever you’ve lost/gained at Weigh in. Good luck!

Given your recent news I bet staying on plan has been the last thing on your mind – especially if you’ve been feeling sick with it. I’m glad you enjoyed your holiday though and I’m with Olly – fresh pain au chocolat are just the best!

You definitely need to enjoy yourself on holiday, it’s the one time we can let our hair down and deal with the consequences later! Bread and cheese are must eats when in France! I am a bit late to the party but many congrats on your wonderful news… hoping you will start to feel better soon and enjoy the next chapter! Sim xx
